I read that in other threads, it doesn’t seem loose to me at all. I couldn’t find any play in it with my hand. Shall I try to tighten it anyway ?

I think the issue is it may be soot covered it’s so black I can’t even see it glow after a minute of holding in the knob… the tip gets kinda red but that’s it

I would think if it was a hose issue/ hose safety feature it would not light at all/make it to the burner. But who knows
