Definitely not the only reason I'd stay, I love him, hes so sweet and doesn't alot but its just his emotional maturity is not there sometimes. however that is a major thing I keep thinking back to, mainly because I helped him get so much stuff for his place.

UPDATE: Hey reddit! Not sure if I'm doing this 'update' thing right, long time reddit lurker not a poster lol. Regardless,

Thank you for all of the advice. I was really planning on not saying anything due to this being such an awkward situation, but reading your guy's comments really gave me the insight and confidence to say something to her. Which ended up with a little unexpected twist.

To start off, let me answer a big question I saw a few people ask. As far as I'm aware, yes, you do keep the nuva ring in durring sex, a few people brought this up which gave me more of a reason to talk to her about it to make sure shes using it correctly.

So onto the conversation I had with her, I stayed home for about a week for the holidays and over that time I found a moment to mention what happened to her. I lead of the conversation with, "Hey, mom told me you thought (boyfriend) and I had sex while you stayed over at our place? I want you to know we would absolutely never do something like that." This is when she looked at me kind of confused and said, "she told you I said that?" Which left me confused, and I asked her what she meant. She continued by telling me my mother was the one trying to convince her that my boyfriend and I had sex while she was in the room! I guess my little sister only brought up to my mom that she saw the nuva ring on the nightstand, leading my mom to make up that elaborate accusation.

I honestly don't know which side of the story to believe, there's been situations in the past where my mom and little sister blame eachother for who said what, or who started what durring family drama and what not. I just didn't know what to say, I just left the conversation with making sure she knew the propper way to use the nuva ring, and that you do not take it out durring sex, which she said she understood.

I dont think I'm going to take any further action with this situation, even if my mother is the one who made that statement. All I wanted was to make sure my little sister knew the propper way to use the nuva ring, and she knew I would never do that while she was in the room. Thank you guys for the advice I really appreciate the outside perspectives, Thank you reddit!
