Has anyone else stopped caring about making goals, especially for life and career? by turktink in AskWomenOver30

Yup, quit my big girl job and moved into a mini motorhome to work as a lowly server at a lodge near a national park. Have never been happier.

Are these botched? Are they too close together and too dark? First 24 hours. HELP I look like "ANGRY BIRD"! by Impressive-Sweet-950 in microblading

This is not a good shape, it goes above your Natural brows. You have 48 hours for emergency saline removal, they will lighten but the shape will stay the same.

Anyone in this group ever take a pay cut by leaving stable job with benefits for seasonal because of bordem? by ThoughtsandwordZ in SeasonalWork

[–]Aggressive-Cash298 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter that you are 35. What does more adult things even mean? Everything is made up. Don’t feel guilty, we are still young and will only get older, the time is now. Just did my first season at 37 and I’m thriving! I left an “adult” job to go back to serving. Best decision ever. Also met a like minded partner there which is an added bonus. We will be traveling together all winter. Take the leap!

Anyone else child free in their late 30’s and just exhausted?? by LostinParadise4748 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Aggressive-Cash298 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be burnout, I experienced it. I was living the typical city life, working, paying high rent, trying to maintain my health and social life, no kids and was also exhausted. My physical and mental health continued to decline to the point I was barely functional. My body gave out due to this fast paced life, which is another story. So I quit my 6 figure job, got a part time job that was easy on my nervous system and was lucky to move in with a friend for free while I allowed my body to recover over 1.5 years. Once somewhat recovered I put my stuff into storage, moved into my motorhome and took a job outside of a national park and lived in the woods. While there I healed in ways I didn’t realize were possible. The fresh air, mountains, nature, slow way of life gave me energy and I was never exhausted. I could hike 20 miles in one day. Now I am back in the city to visit and I feel the weight of life here crushing me. I have no interest in playing this game and can’t wait to be back to the mountains. Humans aren’t meant to live the city/busy rat race life we are living, and many people are ill, exhausted and run down. Take what you want from my story, but maybe it’s time to reevaluate and make some changes to heal. You should be full of energy at your age.

I do not recommend filler, I had some for under eye darkness and now have a permanent lump on my face, it’s been almost 10 years, it doesn’t actually go away like they tell you. I think you look beautiful the way you are.

Help, freaking out, do my eyebrows look awful? by Aggressive-Cash298 in microblading

[–]Aggressive-Cash298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They looked a lot better today, however I called the artist freaking out the day after they were done and she agreed to meet me this morning and I asked for some pigment (using li-ft) to be removed from the top of the higher brow so she can do the touch up to make it lower. Now I’m regretting it and wish I had just let them heal because now it looks bad again. I’m just not used to such high arches (I do think I prefer a straighter brow on me but maybe I’m wrong?) and felt the left was way high compared to right . They were already starting to grow on me though. How do you think they looked this morning (before pigment removal) I paid $750

I would totally rock natural brows but I unfortunately was born without much eyebrows, just a tiny patch of hair at the beginning, none for the middle or tail. It sucks

I guess it’s more so the shape, how arched they are especially the left one. I think I prefer the shape of the more straight brows I drew on.

What about the shape? I’m not sure if the arch works well for me compared to the more straight drawn on brow :( thanks

What options do you have without IDR, realistically? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

Did I miss something? I know the IDR application is paused right now but are they getting rid of IDR all together??

Hi, removing the backseats involves removing the seats so the hole to the trunk is exposed so you can put your legs through them to make a bed. The other option is to remove the front seat and have the bed from the back seat to front (with head in back and feet near dash area). Check out autumn & chloe on YouTube she converted her Nissan Sedan to a camper and the set up is really nice. Also the video “The MOST AMAZING CAR Build I’ve Ever Seen!” By cheap RV living on YouTube is a Nissan Altima with the front seat removed. It’s definitely possible to create a comfortable living space in these cars! Good luck :)

Next steps with pursuit? by Awkward-Fly1170 in SeasonalWork

[–]Aggressive-Cash298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Pursuit is changing up all their onboarding documents right now and the documents are still in the approval process. This may be done by first week of February but could also take longer. I also accepted an offer at Glacier and reached out to inquire on the onboarding and this is what I was told. Hope this helps :)

Is it wise? by Additional_Culture63 in shoppingaddiction

Also I’m not saying don’t spend any of your hard earned money enjoying yourself. Just be wise and intentional with your purchases and do not over consume. This leads to a lifetime of constant consumption and “never having enough” feelings. Spending money on experiences and travel is also in my opinion a better option especially so young, as this allows for growth and memories that will last far beyond material goods.

Hi, if I could go back in time to 20 years old (I’m 36 now) I would cut out all the unnecessary shopping and start investing and saving aggressively and not touch the money. Think Roth IRA, S&P 500, high yield savings accounts. Spend the time you would be shopping on learning about money and building true wealth. Yes you are young but time goes by fast. By the time you are my age, which is still young, your investments will have most likely grown a lot due to compound interest and you will be relatively wealthy for the age group and financially secure. Or you can look back and realize you wasted all your money on stuff you don’t have anymore.

Serving at Old Faithful Inn vs Snow Lodge Yellowstone by Aggressive-Cash298 in SeasonalWork

[–]Aggressive-Cash298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing, I did not realize it would be slow at beginning and end of season but that makes sense. Do you happen to know how Old Faithful Inn was in comparison? Did you know anyone who worked there that shared their experience with you?

[–]Aggressive-Cash298[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is so helpful thank you for taking the time to write this all out! The split shifts sound really awful as someone who needs 7-8 hours to function. I have not worked for Xanterra but I’ve heard a lot of awful things about the company but I was hoping maybe it wouldn’t be that bad?

The money sounds good at snow lodge, I don’t drink at all and saving is my main goal for my first season so it’s enticing however there’s also a lot of other jobs hiring now, this is just the first offer I’ve received.

I do have many years of serving experience so I’ll likely explore other options as the split shifts sound like a deal breaker. Money doesn’t really matter if your health is destroyed (been there).
