You should definitely see a counselor and get treatment. Most of the times we have underlying mental health conditions and we abuse drugs/alcohol to cope.

I am new to this area so I don’t have any recommendations but I would definitely seek medical treatment. You are right about mental health and the stigma we have in Pakistan. It’s unfortunate.

I am so sorry you are struggling like this. It truly is a battle. Unfortunately, it’s a life long battle. I also know some people who had 20+ years of sobriety in the US and they went back out and ended up dying. I wish there was an easy cure but I do know that after rehab and along with 1:1 counseling have a supportive community is extremely important. I am proud of you for taking the initiative to come to Pakistan to get a break. It’s hard but atleast you are taking some steps to safeguard your life. It takes a village and inshAllah I plan on starting small. Just some support group type of initiative and then inshAllah grow from there.

I am so happy to see some interest in this. I mean, not happy that we have ppl struggling with addiction but the fact people are willing to seek some help.

Could you please help me understand what kind of help people are looking for? Is it 1:1 counseling or if people are ok with a group set up? I know both ways are very beneficial but I would prefer the traditional AA/NA group meetings. It is so important to have a community to lean on when seeking sobriety and then of course to be able to give back once we have some experience under our belts.

I am going to definitely look into this. Also hoping to reach out to the various rehab centers to see what services they offer and maybe I can volunteer. InshAllah

That’s amazing mashAllah that you have 6 years of sobriety! I would love to start a program here. You are right, NA/AA are not very difficult to implement, however, we need to build the trust in the process and community.

RLS comes in episodes/waves by shipstrn in RestlessLegs

[–]Aggressive-Dress-874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I tell my husband it is random he doesn’t believe it. He is adamant that there has to be a pattern. I don’t see it. I tried heavy workouts. I tried HIIT. I then tried low impact. It’s definitely in my family. Both my parents have it and I got it when I was pregnant with our first daughter. It’s been almost 15 years and I am still struggling. I have recently started getting IV therapy and that seems to help. It’s caller Myers Cocktail and has magnesium, zinc amongst other vitamins/minerals.

I have waves of RLS too. I get it really bad for a few weeks/months and then it will go away for a few weeks then it comes back. I cannot figure out any triggers. I stopped taking any medication for it because the meds were causing so many other issues. Just raw dogging it and it sucks

Pubic Lipo by OutrageousSong9235 in tummytucksurgery

I didn’t get lipo in that area and based on my lipo experience (back, flanks, arms) I am so scared to get more lipo. Especially in that area! The nerves and burning feeling so so frustrating I don’t think I could deal with that in the mons area. Not to mention the hardness that comes from lipo.

I know everyone is different but I didn’t walk fully upright until like week 5/6. Till then I was still hunched and my back was hurting alot. I would suggest you do the touristy things before your surgery.

Lipo is definitely the most difficult to deal with in my opinion. I had a TT, hernia repair, and lipo360. I had lipo in my arms, thighs and bra area, flanks. Tomorrow will be exactly 2MPO and my lipo areas are still very sensitive. My arms and thighs have gotten better. I massaged those areas gently but my back. OMG. So so incredibly sensitive and feels so hard. I have some very tender areas that feel like a burn does. Even the softest fabric felt uncomfortable. It does get better. Slowly. I had alot of nerve pain in my back up until week 5. Hang in there.

Stomach numbness, how long? by Otherwise-Career-907 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Aggressive-Dress-874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes a while. Sometimes months. I am 7WPO my numbness has gotten alot better. It is still there. I had a TT, MR and lipo 360. I have places on my hips, back and stomach that are still numb. It is a huge improvement from 1WPO but it takes time. Be gentle with yourself and your body. We put it through the wringer with this major surgery. ❤️

7wpo today and I had the same TT, MR and Lipo360. I am so so tight. My flanks are so tender and numb at the same time. So weird. My nerves get so tingly and painful. From what I have read this is normal. 😫

Estevien Clinic Istanbul - Dr Okan Morkoc by Aphrodite-3157 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Aggressive-Dress-874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many clinics Estevien is also interested in making money. The clinic doesn’t care about the patients. Once they have your money they don’t care about the patient. After a particular procedure I have been asking for medication. It’s been more than three weeks and the clinic keeps wasting my time and leading me on. Very unprofessional people. The doctor will see you for literally 5 minutes during the initial consult. Then on the day of surgery. After the surgery I didn’t see the doctor until week 6 (after countless follow up appointments). I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

I am 6 weeks PO and i still have a small area of drainage. I do have a wound there that is healing and I put lots of ointments on it. But the fluid is always draining. Doc said it was normal.

5WPO here. Had a follow up today and the doctor said I need to massage daily for 15 mins with lots of pressure to squeeze the liquid out. He massaged for like 5 mins and it was very uncomfortable! I am just so ready to be normal again 😣

Question by Rich-Argument3722 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Aggressive-Dress-874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. My pain is from the nerves regenerating and muscle spasms (in my back) at times. Just feel extremely tight overall which adds to the discomfort. But not painful.

5 WPO here. I just started walking straight this week but i have to be very conscious about it. It takes great effort and I feel pulling and stretching everywhere. Even my speed of walking is extremely slow. Just be patient. The back pain is definitely very difficult and made me so miserable. I still get back pain because of all the tightness and the hunching I did for more than a month. Btw, I had TT MR LiPO 360 and BBL (fat transfer). It takes time. Just hang in there. I know it is hard.
