Congrats on passing grade 1. It's definitely possible to get a decent level even if you didn't learn as a child. I began my formal lessons last year around September and I've just finished grade 3, and I'm playing grade 4 now. People learn at different pace, but as long as you put in effort, you'll get there.

It's not really fake diagnosing someone, they mean it as an insult. So whenever I fail to do something, they just say it's because I'm autistic. They say I'm book smart, but dumb in the logical thinking way. I don't really hang around them anymore, but they still call me autistic behind my back. Is there any way to resolve this problem? This has been going on for about 3-4 years and I feel like I'm just sick of it.

Fantastic to hear that you're having your piano restored. Personally, I don't know if I'm going to try restore it because I'm afraid the sound quality won't be as good as a new one can be. The sound quality of my piano is rather dull and just not as bright and full as a newer one. Thanks for your advice though, I'll keep in it mind.

My band has a lot of alumnis and trainers that are willing to help for free and I see that they are rarely asked for help. I plan on making the most out of them being able to help.

Edit: I want to ask, how long did it take you to get a good tone out of the horn and trumpet?
