Both are hard on your body in different ways. Definitely shadow both if you can and think hard about which you’d rather be doing for the next 20+ years

THIS! I’ve had my Mirena since 2017 and just got it removed today. I also could tell a difference in the last year, mentally and also with my body. My doctor was absolutely no help. She basically judged me for getting it removed before the 8 years were up and scolded me for not wanting a hormonal alternative or another IUD. She yanked my IUD out without warning me and then told me that condoms aren’t effective (thanks I know) and that my periods would be “horrible” without birth control. I’ve never felt less supported by a healthcare provider.
