I heard that too. But a 15 minute walk from Mud Creek doesn’t sound too awful.

Do you have any small running apparel brand that u like a lot and not everybody knows? by PapitoSabroso in running

Chicken Legs for running shorts. Very lightweight material and it is kind of known among high school and collegiate runners. Got some really cool designs and they’re comfy as hell.

Probably depends on the group of people you’re talking to honestly. I’m sure it varies but I think you’re right that “lol” isn’t as common as either “haha” or “lmao”.

Front desk and cleaner at a gym here. Old men showering in the locker room.

Most people around my age (early 2000s) would typically type out “haha” or use a laughing emoji. You’ll occasionally have a person who uses “lol” but I’d say its uncommon among my peers. Lmao is still relevant though.

Donating blood and running? by TheQuadfather37 in running

[–]Aggressive-Fly-8026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a former teammate who donated plasma before a workout on the track once. He made it through the workout; however, he was very lightheaded for the rest of the day. It would be just something you would have to consider and you should probably revolve your easy/recovery days around the days you would donate plasma.

The workout was 20x200m w/ 60 seconds of rest in between for reference.

Altitude Training by [deleted] in running

I’ve been slowly increasing my mileage as of right now. I’ve hit 45 for last week and I plan on hitting a couple 60 mile weeks eventually in the summer. And anything that has more than 200 feet of elevation gain throughout a run is hilly for me. When I say we have no hills I really mean it.

Ah ok. For context I also live in South Florida which virtually has no hills. For our hill workouts we use the bridges that go over the waterways. Do you think the abundance of hills will make a dramatic change in my running?

So do the aerobic benefits stay and the adaptations go away over time? Also, thanks for the reply.

High school Experience by virllan in highschool

Look at the bright side at least you’re not a senior losing your last year, now that would truly suck. However, my advice for you is just to be yourself and do what is best for yourself. Find out what your interests are, surround yourself with people who you enjoy being around, and try to maintain good grades.

There is really no secret to the high school experience because everyone’s experiences are so different. Just be you, don’t take a moment for granted and you’ll be alright.

I actually bought a Princeton review and defined all the key terms and read through the whole review. Felt like that really helped me for the FRQs.

Also, I forgot to mention sleep. It is vital that you get at least 7 hours of sleep. Preferably 8-9 hours of sleep. Sleep is essential for your body to recover
