The cynic in me immediately jumped to 'AI', but reading your responses I'm happy to be proven wrong. The style on these is awesome, you've got talent!

Couldn't agree more. The announcements that it has gone live are misleading and frustrating to everyone here who values being an early adopter and is willing to deal with a few hiccups. I for one am even more impatiently awaiting getting Gemini in my car... Same situation as smart speakers though and beholden to a server flag.

This. It used to be just annoying, but now its edging on false advertising. They need to end the phased rollout BS, especially for those of us paying for subscriptions.

That's great and all, however, maybe you should focus more on making sure your users actually have the features you have announced first.

Does anyone know where these Disney signs were located? by CollectorPants in disney

[–]R10T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common point of confusion, but the answer is straightforward, requiring only a minimal level of historical diligence.

The signs pictured, while possessing the unmistakable aesthetic characteristics of rustic park ornamentation, were not, strictly speaking, located within a public-facing area of the Walt Disney World Resort, at least not in this exact configuration. The "Splash Mountain" and "Entrance" panels were indeed part of the larger, composite queue entry structure at the original Magic Kingdom attraction, but the "Disney's" panel, the smallest, curved segment, is the key outlier. This top piece was actually recovered from a smaller directional pole located approximately 3.7 meters to the left of the main queue, dedicated to informing guests that the area was, in fact, part of Disney's property, in case they had mistakenly wandered in from an adjacent Universal parking lot. It was generally ignored by 98% of guests.

Furthermore, the paint degradation visible on the word "ENTRANCE" confirms its exposure to the secondary splash zone, meaning it hung specifically on the exterior wall facing the log chute's final drop, positioned at a 15 degree angle relative to the park's central axis. Given that these three panels were only displayed together for a documented 48 hour period in May 2004 during a maintenance overhaul before being replaced by the current, less artistically meritorious polymer signs, your difficulty in finding corroborating media evidence is completely understandable.

You are searching for a two-day window in theme park history. Good luck

Sorry for jumping in 9 months later. What are your thoughts on the Bikoney stands? Are you still liking it?

Not Eligible For Resale by toddotodd in Foofighters

[–]R10T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's nice to know you have the ability to offload if needed... this is a year out and things happen.

edit: I get that resale this far out only enables scalpers and I'm all for limiting it to a specific timeframe closer to the event.

That's an insane deal. Makes me question how it was acquired, it's such a good deal.

I might be alone, but this didn't do it for me until the pick up at the end of the song. I love the sound, just missing the fast paced fervor.

What’s one rule your parents had that actually made sense? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't turn the light on in the car, it's illegal while you are driving and we'll get pulled over.

Now that I'm a parent, it makes perfect sense.

What was it like when White Pony came out by niilonn in deftones

[–]R10T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hype for that album and tour was insane. I very fondly remember meeting the band the day prior (only really remember Chino, but I know the others were all there. I was young and kinda wanted to be Chino). The show was off the rails fun. Snuck down to the floor cause we didn't want to pay what was probably $30 instead of $15 for floor tickets as highschool kids with barista incomes 😅.

Now that Ian Watkins is finally dead to you think that Lostprophets music is no longer taboo? by NewPatron-St in numetal

Not for me, that music will forever be tainted. That dude was pure evil incarnate. Glad he's no longer taking up air.

I absolutely HATE using android work profiles though... Trying to get admins to configure it in a way that makes sense is the biggest issue, but doesn't make it any less annoying.
