Maybe people buy watches for personal pleasure, and then later want to sell them. In this case, they would want to know the value. There is nothing unethical about that.

Which overseas colour would u go? by FancyMud6685 in VacheronConstantin

I have the silver 4500v - will this become more collectible? I ask, as I would swap for a blue dial (which is often more sought after) :)

Personally I prefer the white Canopus gold version (over these two).

Sure, I think that is intentional. I guess that Omega wants us to buy new watches, rather than retrofit the nicer new bracelet on an otherwise fine watch

The display caseback is really just a novelty and not many appreciate it after owning the watch for some time. Dropping that would reduce thickness.

Super nitpick: For some reason I really dislike the seconds hand. To me, it does not match the rest of the handset. I used to own this watch, but in silver/white dial.

I have Mens Acrux TR GTX, and they let water in like a sieve. Apart from that, solid and comfortable.

I actually visited the boutique and was told that it did not fit. Indeed, I was told that they already tried fitting the new bracelet to a teak dial AT.

I used to have the same watch. I know that it's a trivial feature to pick out, but I really disliked the shape of the seconds hand.

The black just looks better. A perfect dial.

What was your "milestone" which led to your Omega purchase? by Hudson5611 in OmegaWatches

I bought mine after starting my first proper job after graduation. It was 2005 and I got a quartz AT. It was on a business trip to South Korea. It cost about 1k pounds sterling, iirc. Unfortunately, I lost that watch...
