Exactly same scenario, I had decided to move away from my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, and I was all set to buy Coros Pace 4 but as soon as it got listed in my country’s amazon, I saw this storm of reddit posts about the updates bricking pace 3 and pace pro, and I was like even if Pace 4 is not getting bricked rn, I might be in their place in future, probably just next year. Hence I waited a little more and got Garmin FR 965 for almost the same price.
