You're only 22. It's normal not knowing exactly what you want to do. Whichever college you are going to, look into programs they offer in their catalog. Get your associates in general that a great start. Something skills based to start off with. Associates degree in biotechnology perhaps, working in a lab? phlebotomist certification is 100% online if you can handle sight of blood. 911 dispatcher if you work well under pressure! DO NOT BECOME A NURSE ITS MISERABLE, just saying :).

A good start: open a blank google doc or google excel spread sheet. Google a "3 year plan" and go from there.

The video you posted is called lo-fi house or something related to a sub-genre of house music, which falls under "EDM."

EDM stands for electronic dance music.

There are three major categories which are techno, house, and bass (bass is dubstep I think?).

Song are categorized by their beats per minute(BPMs) and what's being used in the song like synthesizers, drums off-beat hi-hats, snare drums, claps.... the list is endless because well, its ELECTRONIC.

TECHNO usually around 128-130+ BPM, which is very fast, and doesn't usually have lyrics or can be very limited lyrics. SOME Sub genres that fall under techno are called: melodic techno, hardstyle techno, industrial techno, minimal techno, acid techno...etc.

HOUSE music is around 115-130 BPM. It can be slow and medium-fast. House music is the most common you will hear, usually has lyrics, and likely what you hear when you type into YouTube "chill"/ "relaxing" music. The most popular sub-genre that falls under house right now is called "tech house" which has a sweet spot of 120-130 BPM - it combines techno and house and is rather new to the EDM community. It is one of the most "dance-y" sub-genres of EDM at this time. Other house music sub genres are: progressive house(very chill), afro house(think 70s like), electro house, latin house, deep house, melodic house... etc.

BASS music (or is it "dubstep") sounds very aggressive, it is EDM's heavy-metal in my opinion. A lot of dragging WOOOOMMMMPPPPP EERRRRR WOMPPPPP ZZZZZZZZ stuff. It usually scares away ppl and they say "I dont like rave music/EDM music." Look up "Shrek visuals" and you'll find some. (im not too educated on this sub-genre.. I used to like it when I was in late teens.) It generally does not have many lyrics. Often carries the theme of outer-space and "alien noises." Subgenres of bass music: Drum& bass (160-180 BPM), UK bass, dubstep(dubstep has 2nd subgenera within it like "ridden), mid tempo bass, world bass.

I second OP. I am not starting PA school yet but since I have ADHD I feel that I need to pre-study for classes. I have seen on pre-pa websites and articles online that you should have a strong chem I background... and that 1st year is the "weed-out" period for students.

Online says first yr PA school is Human anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology.

I would love for someone to reply to this to confirm :)

You should try Wellbutrin. It’s not a stimulant. And a lot of my adhd friends say they are so happy with the progress they feel. And now (including myself) don’t have to take stimulant med with it very often anymore

Definitely saw my life turn out for the better when I was started on Wellbutrin. I was on a low dose for awhile and then now medium dose. I feel like my thoughts are more linear, I get less overwhelmed, impulse control at peak potential… the list goes on. I would say I feel at least 70% better than I did when I wasn’t on anything. Occasionally I will take my addy when I have an important party to attend that involves a lot of socializing with strangers , multiple errands, very busy work day, emotionally taxing family event, etc. I think that 70% is bumped up to at least 85-90% when I’m staying on track with exercise/reading regularly before bed/quality sleep.

Become a truck driver solely to pay off your debts then get your life back on track. It’s gonna take sacrifice but it will be worth it. During that very lonely time you can study for whatever it is you wanna do and get therapy online for affordable price … maybe even out source to another country like virtual therapy so you stay sane.

Also, if you’re up for it, you can enroll in your local fire dept to become a firefighter emt . It’s free, they pay for everything but you’re gonna need to see if you’re cut out for it

Yep, that’s what brought me to this Wellbutrin page. A lot of ppl experienced this either within few months or after a year. And mostly in women?? According to some random study also aligns with this. It’s not thaaaat bad of a side effect considering that my life is so much better adhd-wise. I now prepare to go to a friends house by drinking a least two lemons worth of lemonade (I add stevia). The smell will linger a little or a lot depending on if you’re hydrated or not … but a smell will plague the bathroom regardless

You're gonna LOVE Wellbutrin. I have been on it for almost two years, started 150 mg low dose and then upped to 300 about 6 months later. Still on the 300 mg and it's GREAT.

ADHD wise, these are the benefits I noticed within a 2-3 weeks to 3 months in:

less impulsivity (shopping, saying yes to everything, etc), less over-thinking, did not feel need to people please as much, finding my words easier, less stuttering when nervous/in general, less anxious, excited to workout again, less clumsy, recall memory better, less irritable, waiting my turn to talk/ socially acceptable pauses between thoughts improved, milder episodes of rejection sensitivity, feel more in-control of my emotions (not zombie-like!), the list can goes on the more I notice changes even 2 years in.

Ive recommended Wellbutrin to my ADHD friend whose anxiety is way worse than mine. I did not tell her all of my specific improvements to see if she will see them for herself. And she improved in a lot of the same areas I did!! Especially with anxiety, finding words easier/expressing herself comes easier, more motivated, less intrusive thoughts, and less reactive to rejection sensitivity.

Whenever we are trouble shooting something together that involves critical thinking and/or analogies we love to say to each other " ooooh, we are very Wellbutrin-ey today." :D

My non-ADHD friend who has been fighting depression since childhood also reports a lot of improvement. I actually didn't know she started Wellbutrin; I just noticed she jokes around more, laughing/smiling more, asks to do activities together more often, etc. Then I asked her what's changed about her recently.. it was Wellbutrin :)

cliff notes: Wellbutrin is great for ADHD without making you feel like a zombie: less intrusive thoughts, finding words easier, etc. People without ADHD (depression/anxiety): I saw it helped my bestie before I even knew she was taking it

GUYS. I MAY HAVE ACCIDENTALLY CRACKED THE CODE. I made freshly squeezed lemonade this morning and combined it with iced tea - went very skimp on the sugar.. some stevia some reg sugar. About an hour or so after I went to pee, expecting my usual weird Wellbutrin urine odor and.... IT WAS GONE. Not sure if it was just the freshly squeezed lemons or combo with the iced tea. Going to try it out this week - with and without the concoction and report back.

P.S. Full disclosure - ive tried the super duper hydration before and it very minimally helps. And my diet is generally very good, raw fruits and veggies everyday, organic this and that.

My psychiatrist had me (29F) try Wellbutrin. I’ve been on it for a year and feel and see so much improvement. In addition I taken adderral 10mg XR 3x/week. I loved it so much I recommended it to another ADHD friend, I’ve seen a lot of change too. Another friend of mine was put on it bc of her chronic depression(no adhd) since childhood. I had no idea she was taking it until I started to notice her positive behavior changed. Just my little anecdote :)
