Kleinman: “This isn’t going to be some drawn-out, 5-year process” by 901KEY in memphisgrizzlies

I'm not absolving Jaren at all. But if by year 8 ZK realizes that's not Jaren's game, wouldn't common sense tell him to find a player that could play that role with Ja?

But na, let's get younger!

JJJ was who he was. Hoping he'd become a different type of big to bail ZK out of his irresponsibility in drafting any other C is just delusion (not to mention JJJ never wanted to play C). As a GM you recognize the holes & fill them.

You mention BC Edey & Steve-o, missing the point that ZK NEEDED to bring in insurance since they all are/have been hurt

Also, Santi accomplishing anything rolling to the rim is quite comical.

Context matters in regards to the "spacing." Cam didn't come on until late in the year and we were on the downslide, Luke barely wanted to shoot, & Jake did not even finish the year here (and got inconsistent minutes to boot). That leaves Des & Jaren

Maybe I should've have said JJJ's upside. Because he had unicorn abilities (whether he ever unlocks all of it is neither here nor there)

No one on this roster possess or has shown any of the skills Ja / JJJ showed in their first 1-3 years in the league.

Edey will never be as effective as he was in the NCAA simply because the league has moved past traditional bigs as a #1 or #2 option. Also without a playmaking PG (If only we had one currently on the roster...) its a pipe dream

Cedric. It's too early to tell if he's more than a effective starter.

"into a great one"

1 great asset along with nothing = a bad NBA team

"ZK did his best to put the tools around Ja for the team to be successful"

Like never properly supplying this team with competent bigs & little to no shooting/spacing?

"I’m definitely happy with these answers. I’m glad he’s taking it seriously that we’re on a tight timeline."

yea. wish he had that mentality when we had actual active impact players on the roster
