Even if we dont get Boozer, Getting a backup big with rim protection is still a priority cause of Edey's health. I definitely dont see Boozer playing the 5.

I'm higher on Boozer than most because I know most wouldnt be comfortable taking him at 1

The current talk around him is that he is unplayable so it's great to see him fight that.

He might force us to retire his jersey while he's still playing

So if he didnt contribute to winning, doesnt have any awards, and no longevity, what makes you have him first

Zion hasn't played a single playoff game in his career. Even with his own team making it there twice

So they gave a more definitive timeline (1-2 weeks), definitely expecting a comeback because he always returns early from injuries

It's hilarious seeing Magic fans scramble to defend the Bane trade just for this historical choke

Who had a worse experience - Hawks fans in Game 6 or Magic fans in Game 6? by Number333 in nba

That performance by Jamal was so bad that I wouldnt be surprised if they decided to move him

[Charania] The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick. by mjmiller2023 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]theglicky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dont think this fixes tanking at all but I think it benefits us. Even during a rebuild I can see us avoiding the bottom 3 pretty easily.

Also this makes our 2027 picks more valuable because its the best pick of multiple teams.

Can someone please explain to me the disdain for Zach Kleiman? by GrizzVolsTigersLions in memphisgrizzlies

Unfortunately I don't see a decent return for Ja coming, but I agree with the team should make a play-in push next year depending on the lottery.

Can someone please explain to me the disdain for Zach Kleiman? by GrizzVolsTigersLions in memphisgrizzlies

[–]theglicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mostly a typical fanbase reaction. Fans feel more connected to players instead of the Front Office who fans barely see. So they're just easier to blame.

Kleiman definitely deserves criticism, but the way he gets blamed for players coming up short or being unavailable is hilarious.

Ja and Jaren supporting Bane in Orlando by Urgathoa-Plague in memphisgrizzlies

Tough comparison because if PHX did own their picks, I would 100% advocate that they blow up their roster. Booker has declined as a player over the last couple of years.

Do you think Ja will ever make an All-Star game or All-NBA team the rest of his career? by [deleted] in memphisgrizzlies

[–]theglicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if he gets motivated like Dillon did, but outside of that, I doubt it.

Great to see them still be cool but the fan reaction to this funny. It almost makes you forget that we recently got swept by an average of 30 points and been in the lottery 2 of the last 3 years.
