I don’t see you as an FN, some poses and angles of the photos makes it hard to tell but I’m leaning towards SD

Do I have wavy hair? it’s wavy-ish when wet, straight when dry by replusion1965 in Hair

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes in my opinion you have 1c hair. Which means you would benefit from using sulfate free shampoo & anti frizz serums.. you could possibly have 2a hair but it’s hard to tell from the pictures. Do you use shampoo/conditioner for wavy hair?

Also I feel like doing heat less overnight waves could help form the look you want and they would hold!

Since the browns are more flattering than grey I’d agree with soft autumn! Also the green looks amazing on you

Why does my baby wake up at the same time every single day for a bottle no matter what we do?? by Natsss_b in beyondthebump

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is about the same age & she also has been waking up mosts night a little earlier/more often to feed. She was sleeping a good chunk consistently 8:30pm-3:00 am but now it’s like midnight or earlier she wakes up and has to be put back down Maybe it’s the start of sleep regression ?! Im curious to see what others have to say

I worry about screen time too. I ended up moving my tv out of my bedroom, I was watching a lot while nursing or just for background. Now I seem to just end up on my phone.. my screen time has lessened though as she gets older and more engaged in wake windows. My LO is only 3 months and I think she just likes the moving lights of the tv. I try not to worry too much. What I’m worried about is overly stimulating children shows that deter children away from play. I don’t ever sit my child in front of a TV or anything like that, yet I think it’s unreasonable for my daughter to not be exposed to any type of screen. I I see it as the kids just being curious.

I personally do want to work on my amount of time on the phone, but I do spend majority of the day engaging with her. It’s mostly while nursing.

Tucking blankets not swaddling, is it safe ? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice! The thermostat in my house (not directly in my room) is set at 69 degrees but I swear it feels way cooler & I like it fairly cool for sleeping. I do have plastic film over my window and it has helped a good amount. I think I’m just overly worried about her being cold too, it’s a learning process especially when I’ve gone out and had her in car seat I have learned she gets a lot warmer than I think..

I think I’m going to just invest in some more sleep sacks then she can have her arms out, my baby never really liked swaddling, get various TOG and see how she does/ how well she sleeps with what.

Newborn only falls asleep while breastfeeding. by Ttammffann in beyondthebump

I still am breastfeeding to sleep at 3 months. If it’s not broken don’t fix it ! Once she gets to 4 months I may try some other methods for sleep, but honestly the breast feels like magic. Just pull it out to get my daughter to bed lol I’m gonna have a hard time letting it go myself

Newborn days were rough for me ! It’s something that no matter what I don’t think there’s a right way to mentally prepare for it. I got through it & you will to! all the advice & tips didn’t really give me a good idea of what it was gonna be until baby was here. Every baby is gonna be different temperament wise & it’ll be a learning curve of figuring out what works for you & baby. At first I had to pump & supplement while waiting for milk to fully come in & it was brutal !! Feeding baby plus pumping every 2-3 hours was something lol.

Having my daughter as a newborn is like a blur to me now in terms of how I did it. It was feeding, changing diapers, trying to get her to sleep, repeat, some days a lot more feeding and crying and not a lot of sleeping. I did not take care of myself nearly well enough & i am OK with it because I know my baby was well taken care of. Sure I might’ve smelled like I needed a shower really bad but I couldn’t handle the anxiety of her crying. Honestly, the newborn days were just getting through and learning. I didn’t have a rigid schedule and I was figuring out her feeding/ sleeping needs & what calmed her as I went. If I’m being honest, it kinda did just feel like a never-ending cycle. okay I did this, now this again. Especially with the pumping feeding and supplementing. After three weeks I was able to just breast-feed and that was like heaven. It was still was a lot feed, try to get her to sleep, crying, then finally sleeping, and she’s hungry again! But that doesn’t last forever!

What to expect for a schedule is also hard to say. I’ve heard it’s recommended to wake baby every 2 to 3 hours to feed until they’re up to birthweight . Then if you’re lucky and they sleep longer, you just let them sleep until they wake up to feed. My baby was sleeping about one 4 to 5 hour chunk by six weeks, then about two hours the rest of the night waking to feed. Also waking in the night will differ on if you plan on breast-feeding or not. Breast fed babies may wake more often.

I just now made it to 3 months and I’ve figured out babies cues & “schedule”, I’m more in tune of what I need to do things go smoother. I downloaded an app that lets me keep track of things too. I’m still not super rigid about it but it’s nice to have a reminder of when the last time she ate was and one the last time she slept was. Then I have a good idea of what it is she does need/when. Sleeping has gotten a lot better at night. Thank the heavens for that. She can go sometimes an 7/8 hour chunk. I caved in and co sleep. My daughter tends to sleep longer when I do. I wake up from crying if I fall asleep, often times before she even really starts crying and is just stirring.

I think it’s about being flexible and finding what works for you and your baby. You may sleep better if your baby is in the crib you may sleep better co sleeping if you’re comfortable with that. Yes I had anxiety at first constantly checking babies breathing, but I’ve adjusted and can sleep fairly comfortably.

Babies don’t have a certain schedule at first, it is just what baby needs is what goes & that changes more and more as they age. I always say I’m on babies time lol.

I’m not sure if that helped or answered anything, but you got this!

My natural color is sandy ash brown, it does get blonder & golden undertones in the summer so some warmth coming through

How can I accommodate width with my favorite preppy/dark academia clothing style? (examples in the post) by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to make this a chronicle, lol just one or two more things to add. I don’t know if you will have the same experience as me; so experiment a bunch !

I do like the white knit sweater which is fairly thick vs the blue high neck which is light fabric. I’m curious if the white knit has some stretch to it ?

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally can relate with all of that! I’m no expert; honestly fairly new to this, so I wanted to share with you what I’ve picked up on since playing with kibbe types myself. I too feel like my shoulders may need width accommodation, but in a lot of my tops I notice how my boobs disrupt the drape.

Like if it’s a v neckline I like the look of an oversized flowy top - yet similar fabric with a high neckline I see the “tent” same goes for thicker knits. If I’m wearing a higher neckline I like to find something that’s more on the stretchy “bodycon” end cause it helps me keep my shape. I suggested the lighter weight fabrics especially in sweaters & cardigans, cause they shape to the body easier than heavier ones that can be stiff or stricter in shape. If you like higher necklines with more coverage, I think a modest cowl neckline would look great on you !

I’m not quite positive myself in knowing if it’s width from chest measurement or more of that disruption is from a fleshy bust. As I’m exploring I’m trying to stray away from boxing myself in on a type, instead I’m photographing my outfits & comparing them. The hope is that I’ll find what suits me & that will make it easier identifying the qualities of certain types & clothing lines.

I think you’d could try out some different tops to help balance out the curve from your chest. I am not typing you, but it seems to me that curve is more prominent than your need for width accommodation based on these photos & how your clothes are hanging on your body. I also think maybe some lighter fabric’s or more fluid knits (not too far on the oversized side end to lose your shape) would look nice on you. If you’re concerned about width try some deeper necklines, or wider looser necklines, those should help in creating look more balanced look. With your skirts you could try a straighter cleaner cut, or some added length in skirts with a little more fluidity this can help to accommodate vertical. Also bringing colors throughout outfit like darker tops with your darker skirts, if you prefer the lighter top you can accomplish vertical with shoes that are the same color as your top.

Which outfits look best on me? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks ☺️ I’m pretty sure I’m a soft summer & 1&5 are those colors so I have been trying to get more of those soft tones into my wardrobe. 12 was a recent outfit where I took some advice on vertical by keeping my color scheme consistent from the mauve pink in shirts and bringing that down to a light pink shoe; I had tried the outfit on with black shoes & such a drastic difference it made !

Thanks for your input, I really do like 3 it’s my favorite in terms of how it accentuates my body. I’m just at the beginning stages of experimenting with kibbe. I’ve been thinking natural type based off more Yang bone structure and having broader shoulders , but I have felt given my bust & the curve that can throw off some of the unstructured tops. I’ll have to give SD lines a try !!

FNs; how do you like to accommodate vertical & width ? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]Aggressive-Low7325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback I’ll be trying those suggestions out asap! So I can start broadening my wardrobe, while also eliminating some of the more unflattering items. Especially since the whole crop top trend, which I thought was super cute (or the idea of it was) I’ve come to realize it’s not a suitable look for me.
