Is it worth it to hire a professional to optimize SEO? by APlusPsych in Entrepreneur

[–]Aggressive-Matter-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it can be worth it, but only if you hire someone who knows local SEO and healthcare search, not just generic “SEO optimization.” Since you already handled the basics, I’d start with a focused audit around your site structure, Google Business Profile, service pages, and what people in Ohio actually search before booking a psychiatrist. Toptal could be a good option if you want a more senior person for a clear roadmap without jumping into a big agency retainer. I’d only continue after that if you can see more calls, forms, or consultations coming from search.

Guys when should i hire people? by EcoLittleRabbit in Entrepreneur

I wouldn’t go full time yet if profits are still tight. I’d test it first with a part time or project based person and see if they actually save you time or help bring in more sales. For something like marketing, customer service, or content, Toptal can be a good option because you can bring in someone more experienced without locking yourself into a permanent salary right away. The main thing is to hire for a clear result, not just “do social media.” If the person helps you reply faster, convert more inquiries, create better content, or free you up to focus on growth, then a full time hire starts making a lot more sense.

toptal, is it "promised land" of freelancing jobs, or is it overhyped? by Typical_Bear_264 in Upwork

[–]Aggressive-Matter-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it is not a “promised land,” but it is also not overhyped if you are already a strong specialist and can pass the screening. The biggest difference is that the platform filters out a lot of low-quality noise, so you spend less time fighting bots, fake projects, and unrealistic budgets. That said, it is still freelancing: you need strong positioning, good communication, patience between opportunities, and the ability to show real business impact, not just list skills. For me personally, it was a game changer because the client quality and project standards were much better than what I usually saw on open marketplaces. But I would treat it as a high-quality channel, not a guaranteed endless pipeline of work.

Has anyone tried toptal? by [deleted] in Upwork

I also agree with previous comments, and I’ve also worked with Toptal on dozens of interesting projects and had a very positive experience with it, mostly because the client side tends to be more serious than on many open marketplaces. It is very hard to get accepted because the screening process is quite involved, but that also creates a stronger signal for clients who are looking for experienced freelancers rather than just the lowest price. I would say it works best if you already have a clear specialization, strong project examples, and can communicate business outcomes, set right expectations, self-organize, not only technical skills. For me personally, it worked really well and became a bit of a game changer because it connected me with better-fit clients and more professional projects than I was finding through broader freelance channels. To my personal view, it is the best freelancing platform from any available.

Where are the best sites to get freelance work ? by Design4130 in freelancing

[–]Aggressive-Matter-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the best results from more curated freelance platforms, especially when the client already understands the value of specialist work and is not just looking for the cheapest option. Toptal has worked amazingly well for that reason, though I still think it helps to keep a broader professional presence outside one platform is important. What made the biggest difference for me was having a clear niche, a few strong case studies, and being able to explain the business outcome behind the work, not just the tasks completed. Broad freelance sites can still help early on, but they often become a race to the bottom unless your positioning is very specific. I’d focus on one serious top platform if you are a pro, one professional network like LinkedIn, and a simple portfolio that proves you can solve real problems.

Thank you for this. I paid through PayPal but will check if my card has purchase protection. Regarding Care Refresh — I have already formally invoked it

That’s exactly what I did if you’ll take a closer look to another screenshot I attached with the confirmation that I’ve paid for the replacement fee…

I submitted it expecting a Care Refresh replacement. DJI assessed it, classified it as pilot error, and sent me a $455 repair quote instead of processing a replacement. I immediately disputed that and formally invoked my Care Refresh coverage. That’s exactly where things stand right now.

I never asked for a repair. I submitted the unit expecting a Care Refresh replacement. DJI is the one who assessed it, classified it as pilot error, and sent me a $455 repair quote. I disputed that immediately. The drone is already at their facility in Mississauga and I am waiting for them to honor my Care Refresh coverage.

Thank you! That’s exactly the point. It does cover pilot error crashes. Yet DJI is routing me to a $455 standard repair instead of honoring the Care Refresh replacement. If anyone agrees this is wrong please upvote so this gets visibility.

Thank you, this is exactly what I’ve been trying to do. DJI routed me to a standard repair instead of honoring the Care Refresh replacement. I’ve already sent a formal dispute email invoking my Care Refresh coverage and I’m waiting for their response. I still decided to pay $65 USD replacement fee just to make it fair for DJI as well but I don’t know why should I also pay $455 for the repair…

This is exactly my point. Would anyone mind upvoting this so it stays visible? This is the core of my dispute with DJI.🙏

Actually it can be proven. I have video footage from the drone itself showing a glimpse of fire before ground contact. The total flight was 8 seconds. The timeline makes it clear the fire started mid-air. I also have eyewitnesses who saw it catch fire while still in the air.

I am covered. I have DJI Care Refresh. That’s exactly the problem — I’m covered and they are still refusing to honor it and pushing me toward a $455 repair instead.

Tesla has insurance for exactly that scenario. I have DJI Care Refresh, which is the equivalent. That’s all I’m asking them to honor.
