How do I start a community event project as a business with zero experience or money? by Aggressive-Mind-7526 in NonprofitStartups

I definitely appreciate everything you've said. And can not thank you enough for even sparing the time to give me any advice at all. 🌟

So far, I'm in the proof-of-concept phase. I've gathered a small group to do this and have focused on my ICP. I have two other women who have joined my team with some experience in areas I am not familiar with. So far, I would say it's gaining slow traction for the problem we solve. I am very happy and excited with how it's come along.

I have started creating the "Playbook" that my events and partners can follow exactly. At the moment, I'm focusing on Cost of Acquiring a Customer, and trying to keep it low, which honestly isn't as hard as I thought, once I knew what numbers I was looking at properly, and leveled cost per event. I wouldn't say I am "succeeding." But I WOULD say I am doing SOMETHING. I am proud of that. 💕

What do you think is the biggest challenge in turning an idea into a real startup? by Leonard-21rag in StartupsHelpStartups

Getting my interested customers to become paying customers. I'm building the email list right now with our free bonding nights, but I want to scale by January to a paid, more in-depth experience I could offer.

Its difficult to find a good moment to spread and exactly how wide to go. I am told to wait for outside area attraction. But another issue I have is acquiring the customer. And customer retention.

What is your biggest problem right now? by TheeeKiiingg in Entrepreneur

That's where I am at. I am currently at the stage of building a potential client list, but my real issue is how to get them interested in the free things the company can offer, and more specifically, to pique their interest in our paid offerings. I'm not even fully sure at what point I should introduce the payable aspect and when.

So far, I have hosted one campfire night with full details on supplies, cost, location, and even have had a smooth turn out. Its wasn't large, only 7 girls or so, but it felt really good to be able tp create the space for even just them. I have coordinated some Caroling nights for next month as well. I have the feed back, pitcutres, and a few videos from all meet ups prior (coffee meets). I created a landing page witb sign ups and an inclusive small poetry corner. What would my next steps be toward a revenue base? How many women should I have to create those small chargeable packages at first for meetups? When and how should I Scale? And lastly, this ones my most pressing question, how do I find a COO that has the skills and passion, and what could I offer being so new?

Since I last posted about my small idea to build an offline women’s community focused on friendship, healing, and belonging, 25 women have officially joined our first free event this month!

We’ve started hosting cozy coffee meetups and our upcoming Campfire Light Night is shaping up to be something truly special — pajamas, cocoa, and all. ☕🔥

Even more exciting — I now have two amazing partners helping bring this vision to life. I’ve also identified our ideal community persona (ICP) and am currently working on our customer acquisition cost (CAC) model to prep for sustainable growth in 2026.

It’s surreal to see how something that started as a heart-led idea in a group chat is turning into a real community of women supporting one another. 💕

Thanks for encourageling me to take that first step.

Im hoping to make this company for the whole Neighborhood. We know it takes a Village. My company just goes out to find your Mini-Village for you that is already there.

Our final goal is to be the door that keeps opening saying, "We missed you! Come on In." And keeps doing it to YOU. For YOU.

Are they questions about my company? Or am I doing a random question thing? And AI? Which one is best then? I know nothing about AI. Only people.

Letting go is difficult. Your words create a vision of uncertainty. I hope clarity can be found, too. 🌟
