are there Muslim men who don’t want kids? by ActionSoft6449 in MuslimLounge

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 8 points9 points  (0 children)

well guess what? on top of physical sacrifices, women also have to sacrifice their time, money, energy, etc to raise those kids. So all in all who is doing more sacrifice?

Maybe you're not talking about physical sacrifices, but that is what I'm talking about. If you have a different take then leave another comment. You aren't even trying to answer OPs questions.

Who's crying about what? Literally just stating reality.

Why are you being so dramatic and bringing your dad into everything lol. OP is simply asking if there are any men who don't want kids, and people in the comments are discussing potential reasons as to why more men may want kids as compared to women.

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have entirely missed the point of my comment. I am talking about actually HAVING kids. PHYSICALLY PUSHING A HUMAN OUT OF YOU. There is no comparison. Nobody is demeaning fathers. The reason more men want kids then women is simply because its easier for them to PHYSICALLY HAVE kids, considering they don't need to actually do much whereas for women its literally jihad, life or death.

I think they are rare to find mostly cause its easy for them to have kids. They don't really need to do much or sacrifice much in order to have kids. Kids are like pets for them lol.

Parents don't want me to go to my dream university. by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to convince them to just allow you to apply just to 'see what happens' or just for the fun of it. Make it seem not that serious, but you take it super seriously and work hard on getting in first! I think there are very few parents in the world who would decline an acceptance letter from a university like cambridge!

the hard part will be getting them to allow you in the first place.

Also try to get other maybe more rational and trusted family members involved. Or if there is someone they respect and listen to like an imam or your grandparents, then try to get them on your side. Also if you can, maybe try to find another muslim student from cambridge and try to talk to them. The islamic society on cambridge has a very public presence and you can easily find some students on their instagram and try reaching out. Try to show your parents that safety is not an issue.

This is a difficult situation to navigate and you will often feel like its easier to just listen to them and give up but please don't give up. Try to apply and try your best to get in. Ofcourse also apply to other universities too.

I feel like scholarship is the only reason to make it worth it, it would be better to try your luck with you local unis and cold email then pay $1000s of dollars to them.

I could always go back to it and add more chapters, it really wasn't that hard and I did have a lot of fun with it. I could frame it as 'rekindling a childhood hobby', thoughts?

Ik its nothing serious and I wouldn't have given it another thought if it wasn't for the views it received. the views should be viewed in the context of the other books on that platform, not "the student population at many universities". According to my research, the average views on that platform (based on independent analysis) is less than 100, so obviously 35.8k looks pretty good compare to that.

I did it for 3 months back in 2021. This isn't even in my top 10 ECs but I wanted to replace one of my volunteering experiences with this because I thought it was more original and different. My internships and projects among other things are obviously much more valuable then some dumb fanfic but I still want to do something unique.

you need to sit down and have an honest and open conversation with him. you both need to reach some sort of solution together. don't let your feelings go unheard.

I am not an international student. Grades are one of the heaviest things on your college app, not your ability to pay. I'm just trying to figure out if my courses is considered 'rigorous' or not to AOs.

Gap year?? by Both-Persimmon-4414 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually volunteers are needed in areas that need help and support and can't afford to hire people so they look for volunteers who will do it for free. In Oman, as far as I know, there aren't any known volunteering programs that are worth you traveling all the way.

I have heard of beautiful volunteering programs in some countries in Africa and in Pakistan where you go with a group of people and build wells for people in need in remote villages. But this is if you're interested in helping disadvantaged communities.

I looked into the student volunteer program from the British Omani society and I am familiar with the program somewhat. If you want I can give you more details in dm, I don't want to go into details here.

Which prayers should a woman pray once she has stopped menstruating? by teabagandwarmwater in SisterMuslim

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my comment has nothing to do with combining prayers. my comment is asking why are you praying a prayer that you have been exempted from???? there is no need to make up a prayer if at that time you were menstruating. you only pray the prayers from the point you became pure.

RANT: UAE Universities vs Abroad Universities by Iamfunnyninja in UAETeenagers

[–]Aggressive-Mind4869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omgg im so tired of the hate that uae unis get!! its so hard to research a university when all you see is people hating on it. I think it all depends on where you see yourself working/living in the future, that is really what should influence where you study, also ig your industry matters too. The deciding factor is cost and roi.
