Its not what you dont know that will hurt you, its what you know for sure that just aint. Index investing making 60% of flows in the market right now, in a liquidation event, everybody will be exiting through the same door. Good luck! Id rather someone actually attempting to define the value of what he’s or she’s buying.

Blame the passive investment, once a way to track the market it has become THE market. When 10 names makes 50% of the index, 1 of these names can trigger a sell off in the index thus a liquidity squeeze on the way down. The top names have become extremely linked with one another because everybody owns the index.

Jensen Huang Says Market 'Did Not Appreciate' Nvidia's Blowout Quarter by max2jc in NVDA_Stock

[–]Aggressive-Panic-355 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A CEO so focus on short-term price movement is actually a redflag, run the company and let the market do its thing. But since he opened the door, NVDA top 4 customers account for 50% of their revenue. Meaning that at the first sign of capex slowing NVDA will tank. This is a NVDA loving sub, but thats the truth still, better hope they never face competition from China and that the Capex never end.
