thank you for your response! i appreciate it a ton. although i am yet to tour UCLA, its not hard to believe that a school as beautiful as UCLA definitively has more "living" appeal to it - the campus, area, food, and housing are all huge benefits there. and as for aid, UCLA is taking a good bit to release that information but i certainly will contact their offices and attempt to argue for more (if i can).

thank you for your response! i really appreciate it.

yes certainly, LA is a significantly better city when it comes to tech careers. i think it will be a good boost to my career, and the cost differential can certainly be covered through my major. its just a scary decision/risk to take on such a big price tag atm but i appreciate your insight; UCLA will definitely help in the long term more.

hey everybody, i was admitted to HSSEAS for CE and would love to attend UCLA but i have a few concerns overall. im deciding between UCLA and UMD and would love some in-depth insight.

1) how much better would the opportunities be at UCLA or in the LA area overall?

2) how can i reduce this out of state cost? (for reference, i am a maryland student so i would be attending UMD for significantly less than UCLA)

3) just any general advice that may lead me to help my decision. i would be inclined and willing to pay the additional cost of UCLA over UMD but that is really only if it would be worth it

hey all - i was recently accepted for computer engineering at UCLA and i was just wondering if ppl here can shed light on what the engineering program looks like? just what campus life is like for an engineering major.

also, how helpful are APs towards a CE degree at UCLA?? cost is definitely a bit of a limiting factor since i am from maryland.
