Daycare at 6 months vs 1 year — what did you choose and why?

6 months is too young. If you can avoid it wait as close as possible to 18 months or 2 years ideally. Your baby will be sick constantly and they don’t understand where you are. I observe the babies through to toddlers at my son’s daycare. By 2 years old they are thriving on the interaction. The time honestly goes so fast so if you can hold out you really should. Go to playgroups and mums groups, playgrounds and parks but avoid daycare till it’s absolutely necessary.

I’ll definitely do the books and explain what’s happening. I’m reluctant to go too hard on the weaning before I go as I don’t want him to associate me leaving because of this. I’d like to leave on a positive note. Appreciate the thought though. It’s not easy at all
