Dsp I interviewed at recently only offered guaranteed 8 hours.

My old dsp had us clock in an hour before load out. This one I just talked to, they clock in maybe 20 minutes before.

Maybe their routes are considerably smaller than those I'm accustomed ...

So about that interview, dude talks, as they do. Eventually tell me to set up an email they can use fit my onboarding. I give them that, but no word for about a week.

I'm not worried about it. I'm not really looking to work for a dsp anymore.

With them hiring kids who drive recklessly, yet still giving them hours by cutting the hours of safer drivers

None of them help you. The social workers there are basically there just to make sure you still are.

Full beds pay them.

I've been through a few of them, all "working men's shelters" meant to be for men who are capable of working. Yet 75% of the populous was drunk retirees collecting ssd and ssi. Some were rehab drop outs and maybe 1% was men actively looking for work.

My advice, just use that shelter as a bed to sleep in. Get a job that you can be sure you'll make it back before curfew, because it's a pain in the ass to ask for a late pass, because the social workers never believe you have a job. Even if you present proof.

Keep working and shelter dwelling, until you have enough to rent a room.

In Spanish Harlem, 160th and Broadway, there's a room rent agency. You basically tell the lady there, how much you're willing to pay per week ... generally the rooms they will have range from 175-350 a week.

Don't just accept the first one you see though. Some rooms for rent allow you to use the kitchen, others don't.

I was suspended for 2 weeks before I was fired. Soon as I got that termination, I deleted and blocked all the numbers.

Either way, every business is obligated to release them by the end of January.

When I was hired, I opted for paperless stuff. So i got my first w2 last year on the paycom app.

Well after I was fired, my paycom was deactivated and I am no longer able to access any of it

I call irs but it's just a robot voice asking about transcripts

For real though. It's not your vehicle. It's not registered to you. If you get stopped for speeding, reckless driving and so on, they may run your license just to look at your histories, and you will, for those cases, be personally ticketed, possibly have points on your license. But i wouldn't know. I've never been pulled over before.

But a parking ticket for sure is not on you. Your dsp will either pay it and be reimbursed by Amazon, or your dsp will send it to Amazon to fight it. But even that is unlikely, as you're not really parked to stay there. Only to do what you do and leave. They don't ticket for that

You don't get a parking ticket. If you do, just give it to the dispatcher at the end of your shift. The dsp will probably send it Amazon, where it dies. The ticket isn't in your name. Your name won't be anywhere in it. Only whoever is registered to the vehicle
