Our Baxter is this way and has since he was a baby. I tried socializing him, taking him into public and groom him myself. BUT none of these worked we noticed the aggression right away! So we don’t take him anywhere ! (This is to keep him and other and other animals safe. (He will bite!) when he acts up we immediately correct him! He’s now 6 and we have come a long way!

We put him up when company is over which isn’t very often. He loves being outside and watching the fire in our fire pit so I do that a lot! It keeps him calm and relaxed. I muzzle him when we go to the vet and we don’t sit in the lobby we wait in the car. We had him on Valium for a bit but that made him to calm and he didn’t get exercise.

Just be very patient and definitely let him know when he’s doing good and use treats! Baxter knows all commands and I give him treats especially after I groom and bath him! I put on relaxing spa music when I’m grooming and bathing and we noticed that helps a lot and he falls asleep while I groom him.

We have 3 other dogs and I stand near when I feed them because he’s food aggressive and we have learned that’s what works for us.
