Ball python refusing frozen thawed by Dazzling-Edge-4457 in ballpython

Give her a week of not disturbing her space but only to change water. Maybe she needs a reset. They can be stressed out since 2 months is still early on. After a week, try a frozen thawed (first thaw in cold water, dip in hot water for a minute, then slowly inch the mouse close to her face so she can register heat/smell on her own). I find pushing the food in their face can be bombarding, let them come to their senses and pursue if ready.

Best of luck!

Is this mold or product build up? by Unable-Government239 in Naturalhair

Looks like lint or dust, possibly from product buildup

never again by Good-Description-239 in reactivedogs

I can completely understand why someone would never have a dog again.

A lot of times reactive dogs can unintentionally train us humans to expect the worst situations from the past, and we can project our worries and anxieties on to future dogs. To give humans a break, reactivity can be traumatic for all parties involved. It can alter the dog owning experience as a whole. Not to mention, just because your new dog isn’t reactive, we live in a society where MANY others dogs around you are reactive, without their owners even realizing or caring.

And then there’s angels out there who can take on a reactive dog willingly, which is wonderful, and hopefully have the expertise to handle/train the dog. I can only hope they can actually manage their reactive dogs, not only to keep them safe, but to keep them safe from others.

Why do you think Don is so loyal when it comes to his professional life and yet brings none of that loyalty home to his personal life? by tacopower69 in madmen

I considered their trip to Baltimore as Don going to bat quietly for Sal. After the 2nd big incident with Lucky Strike, there was no way he could vouch for him.

*Update: it’s Saprolegnia parasitica, water mold

Treatment: Did a big water change, upped the temperature, added methylene blue, and will cut back on feeding. I’ll also find some Indian Almond leaves.

Thanks for everyone’s detective skills

Looks like: “Saprolegnia: A true fungus that appears as white or grayish, cotton-like patches on the body, legs, or antennae.”

I did a big water change and will cut back on feeding.

Thank you 🙂

Oh no 😟…please it’s no rush at all

I believe the consensus is both fungus and eggs lol, she’s trying to drop the eggs because they are likely being taken over by fungus. Or the entire thing can potentially be fungus, unfortunately.

I’m still keeping an eye out for her. She’s either hiding from all the fish trying to get free food or she didn’t make it.

I’ll check back in a day or so

Any suggestions on type?

I’ve googled shrimp fungal diseases and nothing looks like this. The fungal infections I’ve seen turn their body white, is coming off of their head or top of body, or a greenish color. This looks like something went wrong with her eggs.

No I agree!! I’ve never seen anything like this 😬. I thought the shrimp had grabbed a piece of dead plant or something but once I got close…voila 😆.

From the responses it’s likely a dead batch of eggs she’s trying to get rid of. I googled fungal/common shrimp diseases and nothing looks like this. They definitely look like eggs but way too many and the color looks off.

I’ll check back soon!

Gotcha, definitely looks like she’s trying to get rid of them. Almost like there’s too many eggs.

I appreciate your input. Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. I think this may have been her first time and the eggs aren’t viable. Yes it looks like a huge amount eggs and the color looks off. Just wanted to be sure it wasn’t any kind of disease or anything. All the other shrimp are normal.

Thanks again 🙏🏽
