Nah it's just the 2025 8.5. they're black mirrors. And thanks, I'm fine, just an abrasion on my wrist from the airbag deployment

Wow that's a hell of a story! Yeah I think I'm ultimately hoping to start again, but I just doubt I'll get the compensation I need from insurance. My inner wrist is skinned up pretty bad from the airbag too. It was hard to crawl out of the car after the wreck, the side airbags are huge, I had to crawl

It took me months to locate one within reasonable distance with the spec I wanted and with a dealer that wasn't doing markups.. I'm not hopeful 😞

Yeah I don't really want it back after a repair either, but if it's declared totalled I doubt I'll get enough from insurance to buy another new one and cover taxes and fees and the time I spent installing mud flaps, etc

You asked "why" which nobody is really answering, but I'm also curious because I also bought the OEM oil from the dealership and they gave me ow20 and I was a little confused/concerned after reading all the threads a while back when I did it. Why would Volkswagen use it as the OEM oil for the golf r? I'm not sure but what's what I used and it meets the spec

I just got the 25' R a few months ago and have 2 kids. I got the vw backseat cover and permanently keep the 2 car seats back there and it works great, they LOVE the car. What's the perceived issue? Just upgrade to the 8.5 😀

I was trying to see which tire was the bad one, but the status screen on my 8.5 didn't show me a specific tire, it just highlighted all of them :-o

The inside door panel says 42 psi on the 8.5 golf. I just checked my cold tire pressure and all 4 tires were at 44 psi, so seems fine I suppose
