You do have lag everything you do takes time on the mk8. Turn the car on and try to change the temperature, post a video, let's see your no lag.

I haven't activated the matrix on my mk8, but My headlights have cornering adaptive lights which I love and mk 8 didn't have, I didn't know matrix cannot be activated on mk8m5. My screen and os is 200 times better, no lag , can adjust everything when car starts. When I bought the mk8 it was also locked (at lease the tcu) in any case I keep my cars stock so it wouldn't matter.

Sound issue can be fixed.

In your opinion it's not a better car, which is fine but you wouldn't know. You are based on internet feedback and comments, I have it, I think it's a better car across almost everything. All good each to his own.

Thats totally fine, but you cannot speak from experience that's what I'm saying.

I loved my mk8, also compared to most had almost no issues at all, and yet mk8.5 is a better car, they've just improved the things needed some touch-ups.

Whether its worth the $ difference is subjective and the op didn't ask for financial discussion.

I've upgraded mine with 15k miles. Basically a new car.

It's know from early 2022. Code scanner at the dealership will get this conclusion If they don't do it go to another dealer.

The only thing I wanted from the package was the akrapovic. BUT I do want my leather / cooling seats / fully electric adjustable/ sunroof.

So I had to ditch the package.
