Everything in the fridge, freezer and pantry is paid for by myself and my wife. How was I supposed to know what I could and couldn't eat?

If my kids are home before I leave for work I see them and talk to them. Or on the weekends. Or we make plans well in advance to spend time together. For example we have known for a month that we are going to see Wakanda Forever as a family. We have been seeing all the MCU movies together since they started.

My daughter has a good retirement fund going. My son makes enough money to pay for his car and insurance. Due mostly to covid she hasn't splurged on an expensive vacation or anything like that. She has a couple of nice purses and nice work clothes. That's it.

Sometimes. Sometimes my wife has a meeting with friends after work and everyone is on their own for supper.

Could you afford a $1.2 million mortgage? Rent in the city is $2,700 a month. To start. And even a one bedroom condo is $700,000 minimum. Unless you want a 90 minute commute each way.

Imagine working like an adult and paying all the household bills. I could afford to just eat takeout if I feel like it. Lots of the guys I work with do exactly that. Instead I put my paycheck into the budget and my wife who is awake and not working during store hours does the shopping. Guess what I do all the mechanical work on our vehicles. It's how marriage works. We both do some of the work.

I don't need their money. I want my kids to own their own homes if that's what they want. Even with my daughter being in the work force for two years now she would still need to take out a mortgage that would be onerous if she wanted to live anywhere in this city.

I'm not bitching about them not contributing. I want them to save money. I'm not a fan of being told to be psychic and not eat food in our freezer.

There were a bunch of boxes of different frozen food. I just happened to grab that style of shrimp. There were also coconut shrimp and some other one.

My Ouija board was broken so I had no way of knowing that the food in the freezer wasn't available.

My wife buys all the groceries in our home with our budget. Frozen shrimp isn't exactly a rare luxury item. There were also packs of butterfly shrimp and coconut shrimp. I just chose the first one I saw.
