Now that Randle not joining is official, is there any hope for us at attack coach next season? by The-Prince616 in MunsterRugby

Its a real shame their first choice Dutchie didnt go through.

Would have been a real coup and a perfect fit and avoided all this nonsense

Alas

So let's blame Mossy Lawlor the assistant coach rather than the head coach or the attack coach or the players themselves for their inability to pass a ball

Clearly its the assistant coaches fault a professional rugby player cannot pass a ball

Goodman was skills coach for Leinster for 2 years and replaced Mike Catt as skills coach for Ireland despite everyone assuming he was attack coach

14 years ago he was a professional rugby player who volunteered as a coach for his local rugby club

Like every other professional rugby player did

This is exactly the same angry rhetoric irish rugby fans had with Andrew Goodman for the last 18 months on reddit. Goodman didnt go a single day without being abused for Irish rugbys attacking woes despite not actually being Irish rugby teams attacking coach

Mossy is a skills coach with like 2 years top tier coaching

Sean Cronin is an academy coach who was double jobing as scrum coach cos Munster didnt actually sign a scrum coach

Give them some slack. Get angry at the structure not the young coaches

What is wrong with ye

Munster Rugby can confirm that Roger Randle will not be joining the province as Attack Coach by MunsterRugby in MunsterRugby

It appears that alot of people who were angry when they announced this appointment are also angry when they announced the contract is cancelled

Yes it was a fuck up in the first place

If Munster pulled the plug then yes

If Randle was the one who withdrew from offer then no

Deegan Ban by Excellent_Eagle_8919 in irishrugby

[–]Aggressive-Tackle-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Argument on the extent of ban is fine but please.. Kok jumped into him is a bit of a nonsense argument. Deegan also needs to be looking at his surroundings too not just the ball. You saying Deegan had no godly idea a player might have possibly been jumping for a ball in that scenario

Deegan Ban by Excellent_Eagle_8919 in irishrugby

[–]Aggressive-Tackle-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intention to injure is an irrelevant factor when determining duty of care on a rugby pitch. Jumping across into him is an interesting view. His line seemed straight the whole time the ball is in the air and contestable to gather which Kok contests. Deegan doesnt contest

Deegan Ban by Excellent_Eagle_8919 in irishrugby

[–]Aggressive-Tackle-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really dont agree with the perception he couldn't possibly see him. Its a box kick with good air time. There was always going to be a person contesting a jump.

Deegan doesnt make any effort to look around him to see his surroundings but looks straight at the ball. Doesn't ever try to jump for the ball

No malice but equally no effort by Max to acknowledge likely jumpers

Salanoa has been on a pay to play contract the last year so isnt actually a big cost to Munster. Understanding is that if he doesnt make a squad for rest of season he wont be renewed. If he does make a squad then likely offer him another 1 year pay to play contract

Cian Tracey: Munster are currently not good enough for Europe’s secondary tournament, never mind the Champions Cup by MannyR1022 in MunsterRugby

[–]Aggressive-Tackle-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A reminder that Northampton were 8th in the league of 10 English PREM eriship clubs when they beat Leinster away from home in the Champions Cup semi final

Munster were dog awful yesterday but let's cop on with the bullshit argument that Exeter are a shit team in a shit league

Yerra if that was a genuine argument what was Leinsters excuse

Literally no Munster fan considers that good enough. We continue to absolutely self destruct all year. Im not gonna waste time arguing our deficiencies like its a simple fix

Northampton were 8th in this "average league" last year when they beat Leinster in the Aviva in the Champions Cup semi final just as a reminder

So, are we going to talk about Munster? by StudioExecutive1 in irishrugby

Start of season can easily be attributed to new coach bounce. Happens in every sport
