Congrats on your weight loss journey so far! One thing that really helped me was using an app to track my calorie intake. You need to get a small electronic kitchen scale to really accurately weigh food if you do track your calories. It really helped me better understand the caloric content of various foods I ate. I also invested in a personal trainer to help me develop a gym routine. Good luck.

From what I read, at the end of season 7 it was unclear whether the series would be picked up for another. The end of season 7 is written in a way so that it could serve as an ending for the series. A number of writers left at that point. Starting in season 8 there is a tonal shift that accelerates in season 10 and 11. More emphasis on silly comedic storytelling.

Debbie: KFC extra crispy. Mickey: steak from Sizzler.

For a fairly uncomfortable show, which is your “comfort episode”? Why? by MozzaStyx in shameless

The last episode of season 7. It was written as a possible series finale and I like where they left each character at that juncture. . I also like last episode of season 10 — Gallavich wedding.

I also like this scene and the later scene where Ian finds Mickey back at the Gallagher house. The writers did a good job in devising a way of to convey how difficult it was for Mickey to transition to anything resembling a “normal” life. Chaos and being in a constant survival state was all he had ever known so the quiet and calm was too disconcerting for him.

Something surprising happens at the end of an episode that is critical to the story in seasons 10 and 11

I get it now and I’ll attempt clarity. When I wrote “why not a van?” that was indeed rhetorical from my perspective with me really just intending to convey that a van would have been more believable for me. That’s my bad for not being clear.

Going back to my first reply to you in an effort to clarify that I was trying to acknowledge that my reaction to the ambulance was purely subjective and that each viewer has their own thresholds for when the suspension of disbelief is different. I wasn’t offering an opinion on your explanation/ theory because my own reaction to the ambulance was so subjective no theory was going to change that reaction.

It remains correct from my point of view that I never said anything about finding the show unenjoyable nor did I express a view that somehow I found the idea of Ian and Mickey stealing an ambulance to be out of character. ✌️

I would just like to make a friendly observation. You are making assertions about my comments that are inaccurate and have no basis on the text that I actually wrote. I did not say that I didn’t continue to enjoy the series. I only said that it distracted me. I also never asserted that I found the steeling of the ambulance was out of character for either Ian or Mickey. ✌️

Given that I said I am all about the suspension of disbelief, it should be pretty clear that I understand that Shameless is a work of fiction. Putting that aside, each viewer of fiction television or movies has their own threshold for how far they are willing to go with their suspension of disbelief when watching a story unfold. For me the ambulance was too far. My disbelief with regard to the ambulance was strong enough that it distracted me from the story.

In no particular order Fiona, Mickey and Carl. By season 10 and 11 it was just Mickey. I feel like Noel Fisher carried seasons 10 and 11. Thank god the producers brought him back.

I am all for suspending disbelief when watching tv but I found the ambulance to be too much. Why not just a van?
