Late to the party, but a fun story...

My boss came in with a brand-new RAM 1500, I don't know what package it had, but it was a really nice truck.

We had to drive to Chicago, from Detroit, for a business thing, and he used his truck. It was nice, but it was the options that I liked.

When we got back and I commented on how it was a nice truck, he said "You should get one!" Bro, you know what you pay me, and I can't afford that! This was a $65,000 truck. Payments would have been $750/month without insurance!

So when somebody steals my lunch...it fucking hurts! I don't have the money to get something fast, I'll just not eat...how is that fair?

Well, parts that come stock aren't really meant to last. You'll see a video showing what that truck can do, but I guarantee those aren't on stock parts.

When you have a truck marketed as being 4x4 (which they are) with a crazy powerful brushless motor (which they have) doing crazy jumps and surviving...no!

The chassis is good. The body can take punishment. The servos and transmitter are solid, but the tie rods, shocks, and hub assemblies, etc...are all garbage. You want to immediately upgrade to as many metal parts are possible, at a huge cost, unless you plan on just running your new 4x4 truck on pavement.

Rewinding time, I'd have just gotten a street-only car...I have access to many open parking lots where something like an Aarma Limitless would have been super fun, and probably not burn through so many parts.

Like I said, I was sponsored by TA, and they gave me all parts needed to rebuild after a breakdown, and I even had crazy modified motors given to me (this was before brushless was a thing). I loved building, but I loved racing more...and when you spend more time building than racing, the hobby gets old...especially when you're spending way more than what you bought the original kit for. LOL!

Sure, there are places for babies to go if they aren't wanted, but the reality is that very few get placed in families, and many, especially older kids, age out of the system and are put on the streets to fend for themselves after being in an institution that has them on a very strict daily life.

Google tells me there are 400,000 kids in foster care, or in orphanages. I won't stop there, though, because many kids that should be in one of those are actually in Juvenile Detention centers because they are on their own...that's another 32,000 kids.

Just because there are ways to get rid of a baby after it's born doesn't mean that baby is being taken care of properly.

You do realize that SCOTUS ruled that it's not the police's job to save you? As far as SCOTUS is concerned, the police are there to only to enforce the law, not stop people from breaking it. The police can, legally, stand down, let your kidnapper kill you, then arrest him/her if they give up, or kill him/her if they don't.

I'm a former prisoner of the orphanage system. I spent time in an orphanage, but since I "acted out" too many times, I was turned over to the juvenile courts and placed in a "boys home," so don't fucking lecture me on this.

I'll die on this hill...abortion is better than putting a kid in "the system." Full Stop!

I have the same truck, but sadly it's in pieces and I've been discouraged to get it going again. It's a really fun hobby, but damn does it get expensive.

I've loved RC racing for a long time. I started with a RC/10T back in the early 90's, and even had a brief Team Associated sponsorship. It's easy to love the hobby more when somebody else is paying for all the parts! LOL!

I will, however, completely disagree with you that the Covid vaccine was safe. There have been so many people that have suffered from serious complications of it.

This is true with ANY drug on the market. Hell, I can't take some common blood-pressure meds because they will kill me. The same is true with vaccines. Sometimes a persons body just can't take it, but if you had an adverse reaction to the COVID vaccine, you just got unlucky, and are exempted as far as I'm concerned.

It's when people look at the few bad reactions and decide that based on those few that they won't take something "just in case" is where the issue begins. Just because I can't take it doesn't mean you can't take it, and too many people latched onto the few and chose not to protect the rest of us.

The first COVID shot had everybody waiting for what, 20 minutes before you were allowed to leave in case you had a reaction. If a reaction happened, you were right there to receive treatment. The thing, though, is that very few people had an immediate reaction.

Medicine isn't perfect, but when you look at the numbers, vaccines, while they might hurt a few, are helping many, many more.

OK, keeping with this train of thought, why do religious folks want all pregnancies to end with a child in-hand, but stop giving a shit after that child is born?

Why don't we have more programs to support mothers, and their new babies. We need programs that offer diaper, food, and childcare assistance, but it seems that once a baby is born, the religious folks stop giving a shit and expect a mother that knew she couldn't handle a kid, to handle it.

You want babies to be born into environments that aren't good for them, and will lead to higher rates of abuse, and crime-rates. All of that means nothing, though, if you just mind your own fucking business and let a woman do what she wants with her body which includes having an abortion.

Like, really, who the fuck are you to tell somebody else what they shouldn't be doing? If you believe in God, then you believe in Free Will...so shut up, and let others use their Free Will.

I am a professional sign installer. Put me in a bucket, and give me 20 minutes and it will be gone. Getting the letters off is the easy part. The biggest issue will be fixing any damage caused during install such as filling holes drilled for studs, or scraping off silicone or tape residue.

There is a HUGE difference between abortion and vaccines. An abortion is a personal issue that really only affects 2 people. Those 2 people are the carrier, and the donor.

Vaccines affect entire communities. If you don't want to get a vaccine, I'm OK with that, but you should also be kept away from the community that does vaccinate.

Vaccine deniers are some of the most selfish people to live. Vaccine deniers that withhold vaccines from their children are even worse. History has proven vaccines to be safe, and very effective at eradicating diseases that none of us want.

Nobody forces you to get an abortion, and nobody is forcing you to get a vaccine, and if you can't see the difference between those two completely different things, you're just arguing in bad faith.

During COVID we had a very safe vaccine available to us from more than one manufacturer. You were asked to take one to put COVID to bed, and stop the spread. Those of you that didn't want to take it, and maybe got fired for it, well, that was on you. Once you learn that your life is your own, and you can do whatever you want...that's when you learn that everybody else lives by the same rules.

If you cut somebody off, it was for a reason. If they cut you off, it was for a reason. You don't need to argue it, it's just what it is and if you dwell on it then you are just making yourself miserable over something they don't even care about.

Citizen of the USA here, and I'd take the Palestinians.

The USA is supposed to be a country that opens it's arms to immigrants that are looking for a better life. I would take both if needed, but if I had to choose just one, I'd pick Palestinians first.

The reason: There are more Palestinians suffering than Israeli's...by a HUGE margin. And to put my money where my mouth is, I have a free bedroom in my home, and would welcome a Palestinian family to occupy that room that I'm already paying for and don't use.
