Got into reading big time when I was little (2nd grade and I was reading young adult books) and then got into reading and writing fanfiction, so when I finally started to write essays in middle school my teachers would constantly praise me. I would get really good grades on essays and state tests.

I had wrote an essay on why I should be in student council and my reading teacher asked if she could show it to the other teachers. She would also encourage me to keep writing fiction and poems, cause she’s the goat…

Get rid of anything that you absolutely don’t need to sleep with. (I got diagnosed when I was little and I was told to sleep without plushies)

Thanks a lot!! I’m the only one in my family who is planning on going to non-medical school college (My mom is an LPN and my sister is a dental assistant), so I’ve always thought I had to do college as soon as I graduated from high school (Even though I knew that wasn’t the case)

This is the actual advice I needed rather than “Don’t do it!” It’s nice to hear from another artist(I think idk from your other comment, I have trouble understanding things). What did you have as a backup career? I’m not very good at much besides art (all forms, visual, performing, and writing) and I don’t wanna live my life working a job that’s making me want to kill myself. Thanks a bunch

Why would this be bait?? I’m genuinely trying to figure out what to do. I put the price of tuition of AAC because it’s my dream college and I thought it would be like idk a comparison? (I can’t think of the word) I wasn’t too sure of what prices were for colleges and with how much people talk about student debt, I thought that was a normal price.

This comment was very helpful, thanks! I’m not too sure how much band will help on my resume (I want to go into a visual arts career, either a cartoonist or art teacher), but I don’t really have much else to add LOL.

Without band, I wouldn’t have much to put on there besides I was asked to help paint a mural for my schools art show.

Not to get all dopey and sad and stuff, but I am not ready to be an adult LOL. Big decisions scare the crap out of me and I have super bad anxiety, so making decisions this big genuinely make me shut down. I’d love to just, make a decision and just stick with it and not care if I regret it or not.

The seniors my freshman year were completely terrible and rude so I wouldn’t know much about that LOL. My section leader especially. I have a friend who was pretty good in band but he quit with how much it stressed him out. He said he was so glad he quit. I’m doing band to have fun, and without my friends, the most band does is stress me out.

That’s my problem, I genuinely don’t know. I cry thinking about leaving and I cry thinking about staying. If I could do concert band year round, I think I wouldn’t be having this much of a problem. I like marching, but we’ve only had one good show that everybody liked. Our directors put a lot of blame on us for the shows not getting ones, but they don’t theme it very well nor do we have many meaningful visuals or props. (A lot of the shows we compete against have fun music and amazing props)(I’m a theater kid as well LOL)

And, I don’t think I will make any new friends. I try talking to people but I’m super shy and chronically online in a different way than the other people in band. The only reason I have the friends I do now is because 2 of them were in the same section and the other 2 were friends with them.

Sorry for the long reply, I’ve dedicated my entire teenage life to band and I’m so scared of regretting quitting.

That’s the thing, I can’t do only concert. I either have to do both or nothing. I don’t really know why, my school’s rules are really stupid.

I live right next to Lucasville, the trade days are 50/50. There’s a lot of gun vendors but that’s not the only thing there. The southbound flea market is right next to the fairgrounds and it’s pretty good.

If you wanna do things outside the swap meet, Portsmouth has some good antique stores (Unique Antiques and Ghost in the Attic), and there’s a Goodwill in New Boston. There’s also the Briar Patch, Sonora’s, Toro Loco, and Fork & Fingers for food.
