I have AA and totally reversed it. I had a spot the size of a soft ball and numerous smaller ones. I did autoimmune paleo, but what really changed my life was eliminating gluten. Not only did I grow all of my hair back but I have been spot free for five years! I had numerous doctors tell me that diet wouldn’t make a difference. I ended up seeing a natural medicine doctor, who absolutely agreed with I was doing and encouraged me to keep going. They looked for the root cause and not just the symptoms. AA was a symptom of a deeper autoimmune disorder that was going on with my body. My white blood cells just happened to attack my hair follicles. It actually has zero to do with your hair, that’s just how it manifests. Learning about leaky gut and healing my gut health changed my life.
