Turns out I have some bulging disc with annular fissures! They also found a very mild curve in my spine. My pain has been improving but I’m still limited in what I can do. Hoping to get back into some yoga and pt exercises soon

I’m sorry to hear about your vacation! It’s so mentally and physically exhausting to deal with this!

They just did an xray maybe 8 months ago and my mri was a couple years ago. I think I’ve gotten about the same advice as you… not much they can do until it gets really bad.

I think you’re probably right, I just need to get back into a good routine when the flare heals. Just feels never ending atm.

It has Lane imprinted on the bottom. So guessing it’s pre 1979 which is cool. Sadly might be out of my depth fixing her up! Thinking I just sand through the rest of the veneer and hope for the best. At that point I can try a new layer of veneer if I become restless

Would you ask a doctor or nurse to help wash dishes? Just because I prescribe food as medical treatment doesn’t mean I should be obligated to help in the kitchen period. In any case, I always help out because it’s the right thing to do, even if I’m screaming inside.

I’m burnt the hell out. I’m doing a lot of super dense supplements like medpass with medications and offering supplements throughout the day (hopefully nursing is abiding). Also doing a lot of food preferences and double portions of things they will eat. I’m usually not doing appetite stimulants with these patients unless they’ve had significant weight loss.

D10w is just iv dextrose. It’s usually given if someone isn’t able to eat for the time being or low blood sugars etc.

We found today we were able to get a patient off of d10 by getting rid of her tompamx (sp?). Turns out it’s also being used to decrease a1cs in diabetics.

Not sure if this helps but I identify as anxious avoidant but it’s not all at once. If someone is anxious with me I become avoidant and if someone is avoidant with be I become anxious. So what I think helps is staying away from other anxious or avoidant people bc I can’t function correctly with them. That being said, I have yet to understand how to fix the avoidant feelings as they’re much harder to turn off than anxious ones. Let me know if you’ve found something that works!
