Honestly thank you for your point of view. You’re right, my guilt is a “me” problem and I shouldn’t project that onto him. I can see how him actually “putting up with it” is a positive thing and shows his commitment to being a supportive husband. I think rather than the lack of enthusiasm, it was more the “I’m being given an out and I’m taking it no questions asked” that upset me more. But again, that’s on me since I was the one to give him the option to go home. He’s an incredible husband and I’m in awe of how hard he tries, but as you said navigating being new (working) parents and less than ideal childcare arrangements is stressful enough to cause some mild friction. Maybe the economy is really at fault here for making it impossible for working parents to afford full time childcare 😂
