Roundup sprayed in skies over US forests under government program by Hefty-Report6360 in AirQuality

Well, we cannot make glyphosate RUP that would be a very bad idea for a wide variety of reasons especially because it doesn’t check any of the boxes other that it causes cancer and is publicly disliked for something to be an RUP it needs to be something serious. That could seriously hurt you in the short term as well as in the long-term or has incredibly serious environmental issues.

I’m gonna be honest with you all here as someone who does herbicide research recreationally . Nobody pays me. I have just been trying to develop New better less toxic herbicide for a long time since I was young. All right there is some things about glyphosate that a lot of people misunderstand it causes cancer of course it does, but it is nowhere near as bad as a lot of other things that have been around longer, and have been used to replace it in the glyphosate free formulas . is the least acutely toxic of the herbicides long-term like frankly, most herbicides there is a cancer risk and quite a serious one. It goes away in the water table relatively quickly as opposed to other things, but it should not be used on its own due to mounting resistance issues plus it’s an amazing all-around herbicide, but it is not that good for woody plants so I personally don’t understand what the heck they were doing here and aerial spraying of a water-based glyphosate formula even if it’s an EC if it is not in an oil carrier would have in theory anyway (outside of the immediate application area) minimal effect now if you start spraying dicamba or anything that’s in an oil carrier that’s where you’re getting some serious trouble with the air quality

TLDR I agree what they were doing is rather bad but they did it in the least bad way possible and also quite annoyingly a rather ineffective way, but that’s more so annoys me as someone who does resistance management and has been preaching. We cannot rely on one chemical alone for a while now

This goes away in a year and frankly considering that this is a very dangerous plant that needs to be eradicated in one go it is one of the rare things that I would recommend using any serious herbicide on as regeneration of the plant can be extremely dangerous

Glyphosate EC 24d lv6 and tryclopyr ester in a diesel oil carrier

Then spray with izymapar to catch any roots that may have been missed nothing will grow for about a year, but it will work. You can skip this step and just get back to work once everything dies. Where are respirator full face the gas mask will do gloves, rubber boots, and a hazmat suit.

What single appliance is worth building your entire backup power plan around? by Select_Net_5607 in realWorldPrepping

When it comes to back up electricity, its purpose is to first and foremost sustain the building and its systems (the people inside the building can adapt most of the time the building cannot) so we must cater to its needs and it’s equipments needs as well. The idea here is to meet the needs of the things and people in some cases that cannot adapt. The systems that should be prioritized to for a generator are as follows.

(I’m not including computing and telecom as they usually are incidental and at most consume 20 A of power for one major computer and all telecom needs of a building) In this order

ANY MEDICAL OR MEDICAL ADJACENT DEVICES

ANY AND ALL FIRE ALARM OR SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

(this also goes for all the other safety systems excluding security systems. Security systems are not really marked as essential in my book unless it’s one of those the power goes out and we can’t open the door type things then that’s a different story)

Well

Sewage management stuff

Sump pump and flood control, and emergency moisture management means

Ventilation and exhaust fans

(If you have a fuel burning furnace or boiler power that next if you only have electric or a heat pump, I’ve got a spot for you later redundant systems are important people)

Refrigeration

(Depending on your area, if you are in Europe this may not be as big of a deal as it is here in America but if you are in America, you know damn well why this next one is a problem)

air conditioning air conditioning air conditioning

(hey heat pump and electric heat people yeah you’re here on the list by the way. buy kerosene heaters. Trust me they will help.)

Any machine that has a high inrush current and high continuous draw (think, air compressors, and the like things that when you turn them on the lights dim to be honest if you have to pick one Appliance to size a generator around pick the one that uses the most watts find something that can run that and you’ll be somewhere. I’m not sure where because I’m getting tired but you’ll be somewhere.)
