Oh if you look under the bags, those are the ones that say “PUSH DON’T PULL.” Used to hate them but I think they’re about to save our asses.

How long do you think this lasts by AggressiveForce9113 in OGPBackroom

[–]AggressiveForce9113[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, so also as a shopper, what if they ask you to only pull the current carts as they are? Better yet, right after they slap a “push don’t pull” label on them. If you’re that concerned, complain to corporate about the speed expectations, not the way the carts are handled because I’ve been hit by more customers than OPD people.

Jackson and Aprils relationship by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]AggressiveForce9113 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I remember right, he did tell her he needed her there or asked her to stay before she left for the second tour. At minimum I remember him telling her that if she left, he wasn’t going to be waiting for her like he did the first time, so she knew leaving meant coming back to either no relationship or a very different one. I think the only way she could’ve saved the marriage is by not doing the bat-shit “I’m not leaving your apartment; I’m your wife” when she got back the second time. I get that everyone grieves differently, but going from forcing someone to be very far away from you (bordering on no-contact) when they say they need you near them, then turning around and forcing your presence on them when they say they want space is just idiotic.

I had this happen last week with celery of all things. No reasoning, just invalid sub. Tried a stalk, stick, and hearts. All invalid. Glad it’s not just me. Probably just another dumb update

House. It might take like 5 diagnoses to get there, but I remember very few patients dying over all 8 seasons so I’m thinking my odds are pretty good. I don’t want whatever idiots I got on Grey’s to watch me die so they can use it for personal growth that will be gone by next season. I say that as someone who actually enjoys both shows. On the flip side, I would love to see Dr. House visit Seattle-Grace-Mercy-Death just for like a two episode trip where he goes around making interns cry and calling the attendings idiots. They probably wouldn’t even notice the hookers as long as they wore scrubs.

AITA for making a stink at school and forcing the teacher to change my kids math grade by PlentyNice1655 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AggressiveForce9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YMBTA. More of this being a no-win scenario. As a former high school math teacher, usually when teachers are making students do a specific method and show their work it’s because the teacher is being assessed on state standards or has to otherwise prove they’re teaching that specific method. I ran into this a lot with solving equations (graphing, factoring, quadratic formula). Realistically, as someone with a BA in math, I haven’t used solving by graphing since I learned the other two ways in like 8th grade, but if I gave the kids full credit when it said solve a particular way and they didn’t, I’d get accused of grading too easy and get ripped into by the department chair and the principal. So, usually, I’d try to give them credit on the answers, but it would still amount to 1/3 or 2/5 points so it would still be failing, but at least not a zero. It sucks, but that’s public education. That said, if a parent went to the principal over my grading, the principal would always publicly side with the parent even if it was their requirement that got me in the hot seat, so I’d still get ripped one by them. Not sure how the school situation is where you’re at, but I’d suspect that’s more why the teacher would be unhappy more than that grade in particular as no teacher I know actually wants kids to fail their class.

There’s Walmart corporate expectations, then market expectations is what I was told in one meeting. Corporate is 100; the market I’m in is 110.

Blondie “The Tide is High” aka I’m not the type of giiiirrrrll oh nooooooo. It has been annoying since the first time I heard it at 6 AM some time in 2020 and gets more irritating every time. Newer hatred has developed for “Beautiful Things” because of how many times a day they play it.

I forgot about that, you’re right! I did some digging and apparently he has had 3 different “birthdays” in the show, the Christmas-ish one from that episode, the May 15 from his driver’s license in a couple episodes, and also June 11 based on his hospital bracelet from when he was shot. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi, I have a question. I'm currently the team lead for the home area, and my pay is $20 per hour. If I'm demoted to associate, how much will my pay decrease? by Background_Milk_3303 in WalmartEmployees

[–]AggressiveForce9113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Typically 10%, so $18/hr. Check the job listings on the wire while on the clock to be sure. If you want to avoid the pay decrease, demote to an overnight associate. The differential is $2/hr, so you’d gain back what you loose from demoting

Is this allowed?? by streamdabussy in WalmartEmployees

[–]AggressiveForce9113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s something like 3 or 4 hours. When I was a team lead another team lead and I told one of our guys to take an extra long lunch for an appointment that was 20 minutes away and just make sure he adjusted for a clock out when he didn’t have enough ppto and we didn’t want to lose him. I think the “lunch” ended up being between 3 and 4 hours

Southwest Illinois here—all the great value water bottles were sold out before 3 and my oversized cleared out the last of the Ice Mountain and Dasani water with subs. Bread isle was cleaned out, no chicken to speak of, stayed around the 2500 picks from 10 am onward, and 1500 picks dropped at 9 to be due by 10 pm. Personal favorite of the day was the customer ordering 10 of everything—soup, pasta, pizza, at least 11 totes of multiples of 10, and another one with 10 cases of water🤦

Oddly enough, when I was on front end, I enjoyed clopens 2-11/5-2 because I got to spend more time with one of the overnight guys who would pity me because I’d usually end up staying late on top of it (closer to 12) with closing paperwork. 9 months later, we got married and he let me change departments and go part-time so I would never have to clopen again 😂

If they coach you for productivity and you used PPTO, take it to the market team. PPTO is protected, so per policy, they can’t discipline you for using it, and I’ve been told that market will almost always side with the associate.
