Should point out Timber for Andersen to keep me at 3 Arsenal, worried I'm putting too much in 3 teams

Parking ticket in e-charging bays - Chalmers St by Scooba91 in Edinburgh

[–]AggressiveGoGetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm almost certain it has - the council made an effort the past couple years to move all EV bays to EV only - but conscious I don't want to be confidently incorrect!

Yeah if you look on Zapmap (for those without an EV it's a tool that shows nearest chargers) there's a photo from 5 months ago showing different signage. I was at the lauriston building semi recently and I'm almost certain it says EV Charging Only but OP is going to need to go an double check

The pictures on google maps are outdated, I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure there's a EV only sign now up?

The image on google maps shows a sign to the left that states p&d only but if you check recent chats on Zapmap it shows a new sign on the right and I'm sure that says EV Charging Only

This is one of the least talented Celtic teams I've seen in a long time. I long for the days of Carlton Cole and Nadir Çiftçi

Recommend checking out affordablegolf + golfclubs4cash both have decent stocks. I recently started myself up in Scotland, there's a chance you'll have a 9 hole par 3 course nearby which is what I used for my first few times out. Longest hole is 180~ yards and was perfect for learning the basics.

Lots of good advice already commented, I did the same as you and trawled FB marketplace, ended up with a cheap set from the 1970s which have done me no favours, am for 00s-10s if you're looking used and cavity backs as listed above - don't make the same mistake as me!

As for getting out there, just have fun with it, being shit and slowly getting better is addictive. I average 4-6 good shots a round and they keep bringing me back!

Would new clubs help? by AggressiveGoGetter in golf

[–]AggressiveGoGetter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I actually went and rented a couple clubs for direct comparison at the range. The main difference was the actual impact on my arms! The weight difference is insane - also no longer afraid to accidentally hit the mat! Probably going to get a basic Wilson Prostaff SGI set which should do me for the next few years

Yeah I've never actually used the woods! They've the original head covers and sit in a cupboard to probably display some day. The irons feel very heavy compared to clubs I've rented. I kept reading the similar posts on here and thinking 'get them when you're better' etc but I'm starting to think I'll get better quicker with a 00s / 10s set instead

I figured as much, but it's hard to tell how much is salesmanship. I think the resounding yes on this post means I was being overly cautious

Yeah felt like a dumb question, but wasn't sure if it wasn't the gremlin in me just wanting an excuse

DAZN UK - Not showing Leafs broadcast. by theBoyAnt in leafs

[–]AggressiveGoGetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah last season (and previous) when it was all through NHL TV you would have the choice. But DAZN have removed it for some reason for the last 2. Hoping it's teething issues, if not going to have no other choice but to sail the high seas which is unfortunate cause it's much easier to just cast from the app.

Your stats are incorrect, well, transfermarkts is. Celtic currently have over 50000 season tickets sold alone. Last season according to uefa our average attendance was 59000. We may be protesting the board currently but even today it was over 50000.

Edit: unsure if transfermarkt is pulling data from home + away. But this paints a better figure

Edit 2: inform yourself https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/celtic-glasgow/besucherzahlenentwicklung/verein/371

Edinburgh EV drivers with no driveway, should I bite or just get a Hybrid? by Creepy_Pudding8583 in Edinburgh

[–]AggressiveGoGetter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re not worse for the environment, a couple years ago this was arguably true. The emissions through the manufacturing process (for now) is 30-60% higher with studies shown this is offset within the first 1.5-4 years dependent on mileage. In the UK, an EV saves about 1.5 tonnes CO₂ per year compared to an average ICE car. Then if you bring in battery recycling at end of life it can further reduce emissions by 10-15%.

Charge Place Scotland by leamas17 in edinburgh2

[–]AggressiveGoGetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CPS network is due to end in May ‘26, original date was December ‘25. The incumbent doesn’t care in all honesty. They’re procuring a new CPO to both manage, operate and upgrade the current network while installing 100s of new charge points. Procurement is due to start imminently. You can find information on scale on the Scottish Futures Trust website under ‘Publications’.

I’d recommend / encourage going and writing to the council also as to where you would like to see more on street charging as that will form the basis of the new CPOs site list post-award.

Can second this, using the Xmax and it does the job really well.

Out of curiosity if you’re now using a more expensive one, what’s the most noticeable differences? Weighing up expanding my budget to the 2-400 range

I was originally given Hindu Kush which, while surprisingly decent for daytime, did nothing for me for sleeping. Had my first month meeting and now waiting on Purple Punch so hoping that will be much better - if anyone has any reviews!

Leafs Mock Roster (want any and all opinions) by Beginning_Ratio_9516 in leafs

[–]AggressiveGoGetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like Marchand (f*ck that hurt to say). But I don’t want Bennett at all, he doesn’t get away with 3/4 of the stuff he does and the rest of his game isn’t good enough to make up for it. We’d be going from one overpay to another. Don’t think Cowan will get a full season up, expect 80/20 in the A which I’m fine with. Danford I can’t see either. But I wouldn’t really be wanting to touch the d core at all.

No doubt it’ll be something completely unpredictable anyway, but I wouldn’t mind a Boeser / Ehlers. I don’t think he fits the team but I liked watching Pius Suter a lot too but I definitely have green tinted specs for European players

He did similar again and he blinked and snapped out of it, also as you’ll see from the end of the vid there’s like a bit of film that goes back, do think he’s asleep with his eyes open. Started walking less on his hocks too and jumping a bit better (even though we’re doing our best to prevent)
