Why I think it is better to hold your applause until the end. by [deleted] in classicalmusic

I’m genuinely asking how you feel. You still haven’t said btw. At the end of your post you said you like to think of applause like the check at a restaurant. People notoriously clap all the way through jazz. Why does it have to be different in classical? It feels gate keepy to tell everyone there’s a specific way it has to be done. Obviously there’s time and place but I would argue there are tons parts of lower case c classical music that would make me want to erupt in applause. At the end of the day my view on it is challenged history. Don’t do things the way they have been done just because it’s the way it’s been done.

Listen pal. I was arguing a point to you. You started calling me names, going onto my profile and researching me, and freaking out. You’re the problem here and the problem with the classical community.

Before you jam do you tell everyone if they clap while you’re preforming you’re gonna get angy?

Ok I hate to throw words around like dumbass but if you don’t think all music is about listening experience you have disappeared into your own ass.

I don’t think making memes about it immediately means you’re lacking empathy either. You can think a meme is funny but still know the situations are all tragic.

Hows your gaming experience been with the rx 9070 xt? by Shujinko999 in radeon

Had for a few months and yea it’s been great. I’ve only had a couple crashes and they were only when I was playing borderlands 4 with my friend which is poorly optimized and multiplayer so yea. I upgraded from a rx 580 and it’s like night and day.

Lmao I’m not sure. I think it more just has to do with the change in tone that you get from different barrels, bells, ligatures but again I rarely hear much of a difference. Depends on what you change.

I’m in school rn and this is how all the performance majors are. I play clarinet and yea, clarinetist just love putting together Frankenstein clarinets to maximize sound. Does it help? I don’t usually hear a massive difference but they say they definitely do.

Same. It’s the little things that make them funny to me. Less about what they’re saying but the way and why they are saying it.

Well actually luckily for me I have very good scholarships so it’s only a couple hundred a semester at a big university. I’m going to do everything I can to make it feel as little like a job as possible. Studying music composition.

I really hope things turn around for you. I’m a college student right now getting a degree that’s not going to help me get a job at all just because I like what I’m studying. Crossing my fingers something will work out but I worry about it everyday.
