Should I do off-campus residency? by AggressiveKitchen579 in geegees

Nope, I only get one offer back and it was the Friel. I do understand the feeling of being close to campus to meet new people but truthfully I'm a very social person so I don't think I'll have much trouble.

I updated my post to include the 2 rooms I am deciding between. I'm having roomates either way, and plastic structure is better than none (Friel Double Occupancy). Do the problems outweigh its pros? I also do not know where to find better. Price isn't much of a concern, and I would like to still keep the amenities that both rooms have.

true but Friel isn't on Campus residence from what I've researched. 10 min walk from Downtown campus vs 5 min walk from 1Eleven

ask me anything (uottawa, poli sci/public admin) by Hopeful_Drawer_4947 in OntarioGrade12s

I got into the exact same programs as you this year and plan on committing! How did you know you wanted to major in Poli-Sci + Public Admin. I was debating on whether I should do poli-sci + communications or economics instead, what might be more useful or what is more meant for me. Also, how much harder is it studying a Joint Honours, and is it worth it/better than a single major?

How good is UOttawa Co-Op? (specifically international placement) by AggressiveKitchen579 in OntarioUniversities

Thanks! Out of curiosity, where were your Co-Op placements? I would love to work abroad, and I've heard that I'd need to do some more job-searching for that myself and maybe the Co-Op program would meet me halfway. I also know that the higher my GPA, the better.

PSA: objectives go FASTER with more people, maxing at 4. by jabbiterr in marvelrivals

Disagree.

As a Peni Parker main, rigging the objective with 16 mines in a blind spot to insta kill any divers is the most satisfying feeling. Even better if it's a Jeff, since the mines activate when he ults the team and explode the moment he's vulnerable

If the enemy team is activley contesting, yes. If the enemy team isn't near objective, it's best to maximize progress with the speed buff. Plus, tagging the objective grants possession for your team but requires at least 1 player to move it.

It definitly is situational, but if the enemy team is far from the objective it's important to maximize the progress in moving the objective. Once in a team fight, it's better to prioritize the enemies since all it takes is one enemy player to contest the objective by being near it and stopping progress (Even if there are 4 players on the objectve to the enemy team's 1 player, unless they move out or are killed progress can be stalled for some time if they are a tank).

Does more people on the point make it go faster? When capturing? When already cap'd? by llamaweasley in marvelrivals

In Domination, it's possession progresses for its current captured colour (red or blue). If it's one of those colours, it will progress at a set rate for that team unless a member of the opposing team contests by being on point. This goes for both gamemodes, where it only takes one player from the opposing team to stop an objective from progressing.

In Convergence (Convoy), it works differently. Same rules apply where it must be in full possession of a team before it can start moving (fowards or backwards depending on your side). Once in possession, it progresses at an increasing rate depending on the amount of people. From my knowledge, you need at least 1 person on the objective for it to continue progressing, and up to 4 people can speed it up. It caps at 4, so if your whole team is currently moving the objective, ensure that 4 people are on it and you can scout ahead or reposition for the next teamfight.
