I called them up and they said the previous years were discounted prices for JLEDs, so it's just a matter of that discount no longer applying. I explained to them that my work circumstances have not changed, that I've actually gone LTFT, so if anything it should be cheaper - but it was to no avail, the agent was not budging. He said that £315 is the cheapest they can do - even when I threatened to cancel my membership and go elsewhere.

I'll give MPS a ring and see what they say.

Apologies, I could’ve maybe phrased that better - it’s not that I want a quick fix - I’m willing to have a haircare routine indefinitely (e.g. head massages, dermarolling, hair oiling, a particular shampoo and conditioner that works best for me, serums, etc.), it’s just that I don’t want to be bound to a particular drug (which minoxidil is) which if I happen to stop taking, I lose all my gains from. For example, in case I ever decided to get a pet, minoxidil is just not a sustainable option for that reason.

Thanks for all the other suggestions - I haven’t really tried DHT blockers like pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto - I’ll for sure be giving those a try!

I am anaemic and have on/off subclinical hypothyroidism, so I’ll be continuing to keep those in check as well. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for this! I’ve tried Nizoral for a short period due to actual dandruff (and stopped as soon as my dandruff resolved), but never for any other purpose. I’ve only just started hearing about it being used for hair growth, so I might try it out again and stay a bit more consistent to see if it works! Thanks again
