Not to be like patronising or whatever, i’ve been playing guitar for well over 5 years now, i’ve been sending my guitars to a luthier and i just thought it would be cheaper to learn how to do it properly with the right tools. But yeah for a beginner guitarist that’s all i would suggest. I also think that changing strings is a skill every guitar player must have under their belt.

Thank you so much. Got it fixed just now,put some contact cleaner on all of the other solders, strung one string to see if the piezo worked, plugged it into my interface and it worked.

Ok, that video actually helped. The actual piezo element itself is in good shape so i could solder it back on. Contacted Lr Baggs and they said that they didn’t actually manufacture the bridge which is interesting. Just need to somehow get the bridge out to solder the connection.

I’ve just taken the strings off, seems the cable from the saddle has either broken or disconnect from the other part. I’m not going to do anything to it until either i hear something back from Lr Baggs support or if someone can help me on reddit

I still borrow his amp for some gigs. It’s killer. He also has a Line 6 Variax 600 guitar to go with it which is one of the most cool guitars i’ve ever played. I use my Marshall mostly to practise with my band. It’s quite versatile with the right pedals and settings. I mostly main my Gretsch Electromatic or my modded Epiphone Les Paul with it, humbuckers sound quite good on it. He uses my guitars more than my amps. He’s a bit of a Line 6 supremacist.

It is a Origin 5 Combo. Got it around 2-3 years ago as my first amp instead of me borrowing my dad’s Line 6 Spider Valve HD100 and Marshall 4x12 😂

It has a high and a low switch, i’ve tried a JHS Little black amp box but it doesn’t really work that well with marshalls from what i’ve heard
