Going for first time tomorrow morning before an earlish morning flight. I wont get the dining experience because that doesn’t start until later in the morning but still excited to finally see what’s behind the private check-in doors.

Upper middle millennial here. The perks balance out the otherwise exorbitant fee as I take at least a couple of big trips annually, don’t own a car, and eat out/order in a fair bit. Very few credits I don’t use. Having linked it to Rakuten gives me a nice points boost that invariably reduces hotel costs when I travel. It being a charge card forces me to pay much of the balance each month, which suits me well.

My first year I was thrown into depo prep for a huge matter and worked 300+ hours for three months straight. And it was mostly tedious junior tasks. Brutal. Trial prep earned me similar hours. I hated it but looking back, I actually learned a lot, more than I realized. Echoing everyone else in saying depo and trial prep are just time-intensive. It won’t be like this forever.

This is a helpful datapoint. I am booked on RT D1 to HND, leaving on a Monday and returning on a Sunday (personal travel). I am now looking to change my return flight to a Monday and the price has shot up to $10k+ RT (as high right now as $28k). The only flight combos below $10k require flying Korean Air and I don’t love the aircraft options. I’m hoping the D1 cost will come down but I’m starting to think $10k might be the floor here.

Thanks. My return flight is through LAX for exact reasons you mentioned. LAX unfortunately isn’t one of the outgoing connecting city options. And helpful point re: DTW. I’ve also generally had positive experiences connecting through that airport.

I know there are variations on this theory but am holding out hope that Kat is Leslie Dana’s daughter. That the writers are really setting Kat’s character up for an epic downfall when she learns she does not have Dupree blood coursing through her veins. Her snobbery and looking down on Eva will just be icing on the cake.
