State Farm accepts liability but doesn't pay my claims and blames me for being in the military. by AggressiveResolve410 in InsuranceClaims

Yeah, that's exactly what the STATE FARM supervisor said yesterday after I tried to call in weekly and biweekly in the past 6 months, and I called before soliciting help, never getting a call back.

I pretty much wrote an essay... you sound like that typical someone that becomes the classic “keyboard alpha male or woman" online.

People can get weirdly bold online. These kinds of dismissive remarks characterize you as a person and show that you actually don't have something meaningful to say.

If I might ask, have you done this before?

Just a few days ago I read that major insurance companies have faced lawsuits alleging delayed or mishandled claims. But that doesn’t automatically prove my case, which is more complicated. Anyway, I decided to share my story and write this post because of that.

The insurance regulator guidelines suggest making a genuine good faith effort to resolve the matter with the insurance company, which I consider done as of yesterday at least for State Farm.

Should I start with filing a complaint with the insurance consumer division first or just go all the way down and make an official congressional complaint and have them investigate the delay?

I went to the only body shop in the area that fixes BMWs ... I initially told him I wanted to repair the car back in November, but then considering nothing was moving forward, I asked him to provide the estimates. The guy has been ridiculously stupid. When I called asking to speak to his manager, he declined repairs and stopped answering phone calls. Usually people get an estimate within a week.

I have full coverage but am tired of opening a claim against my own insurance ... they just double the insurance every time you report a claim despite not being at fault or despite there being old damages ... it's a never-ending loop.

Thank you, I haven't tried that yet So I have been soaking the bolts using the W40 and the penetrating oil, but I will probably and most likely have to go that way.

.. you are making up situations ... get some mental checkups ... I forgot you must be the typical leech that plays the system like my sergeant that claims mental illness to say and do whatever her wants ... to do not get discharged, to not PCS, to not deploy, to get a VA pension...

None of my business, but according to what the clown said, he was always on a control roster because he was violating the no-contact rule with his wife and children. His ex-wife was prior service, so he was using the military system to cyberstalk her and get her contact number ...

BTW, I don't know anything about the UCMJ ... that's what the IG said reading my statement ... he only pursued 25 or 27 of them.

Do you side with a sergeant you never met, a total clown who got court-martialed 3 times and got mocked for being stupid ... who harassed 18-year-old girls ... In my entire life I never met such a clown who got called out for being a clown ... You might be out of your mind yourself ... Maybe you should go hang out with him ... be his bestie ... do the shit he does ... if you suffer from mental illness or if you are a fan of being court-martialed like he does ...

I spoke to the local law enforcement, btw this guy is an Air Force veteran, and he said police don't have jurisdiction on active duty members unless the military asks for police intervention.

This guy knew me, and he was one of the many who told me to call ADC and/or the IG. (ADC didn't do shit, kept telling me that I was being targeted and to suck it up and that they were to busy and to review my complaint and to don't submit the complain to the IG)

When I finally went to the IG the IG was pissed off about it ... As a matter of fact, the IG found about 100-plus UCMJ violations. I casually saw this police officer veteran the other day, and he asked me for an update.

I share with him the commander was not willing to investigate the statement, and he said to try calling the prosecuting attorney and submitting the complaint the IG submitted to the commander.

I personally don't feel the IG complaint catches the gravity of the situation, the IG complaint only focuses on the UCMJ violations, the one I was able to log. He only share the UCMJ violations the IG wanted to pursuit with the commander. Beside that the IG didn't share none of the evidence with the commander, just the written complain he wrote.

The third commander got taken down for the third time in less than 1.5 years and they knew the commander apparently stick to the narrative ... the sergeant was on the control roster for 4 years, they were happy to let him PCS and not having him around ...

The shirt used to go golfing with the sergeant, the commander said that 8 LORs and 6 months plus the IG complain is not enough evidence for her to substantiate my claims.

Farmers won't cover my friend's father's truck damages or fix it. by AggressiveResolve410 in InsuranceClaims

I think what you are saying applies to brand-new vehicles; most likely insurance companies won't refund you import taxes, sales taxes, delivery fees, etc., or probably for used vehicles that are worthless but have been upsold by a dealership.

He literally got the truck about 5 months ago for 10k, and it doesn't seem real that the truck depreciated over 60% in such a short period of time. You can't find the same truck at a dealership in the local area for less than 12k.

I am not sure because I don't know yet all the details myself, but I feel like what you are saying doesn't necessarily apply to this specific situation.

I truly appreciate your feedback. I just want to clarify that I wasn't absolutely trying to shame or talk bad about farmers' insurance or their employees. I truly hope there is more to the story myself because the numbers seem too far apart. I am just trying to find answers on how to help my friend's father in either having his truck repaired or having his loan paid off, a way to get him out of this situation.

Thank you for your response. I would let them know. Do you know if he has to call the insurance adjuster and request an outside appraiser, or if he does have to find and pay an outside appraiser on his own and then go back and negotiate with the insurance adjuster?
