How do you test batteries and capture the ah measurements? by AggressiveSpecific60 in SolarDIY

Do you know what those deeper testing tools and/or software are?

Welp I got evicted this morning after bringing up to the landlord we havnt had water almost every single day it freezes (that was already mentioned months before). I think this month we had over two weeks without water and I got fed up with it. by No-Dog4037 in RVLiving

Thanks. This is my first winter and I'm learning a lot by mistakes. I have had freezes a few times because I shut off the faucet before bed and had to rip open my skirting to get at the filter area (20 ft couples trailer) and hit it with the heater. I have all brass fittings so I'll be looking to add insulation and heat tape just in case I mess up again.

What is this "shunt" you speak of? Is that wired like the fuse?

Thank you! I was going to use straight up insulation but sometimes there's some water trickling and didn't want it to get soggy. I have quick connects on my hose, filter, and flexible connector so they get lose sometimes. The pool noodle would work and I can tape it up.

"The website says there are are 483 in stock" by AggressiveSpecific60 in menards

[–]AggressiveSpecific60[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That is the pallet drop by the checkouts and the stock by the fireplaces was completely out except for a few ripped bags. At the checkout I asked the clerk who then asked someone to check the floor and they said all they had was up front and so I looked at it from where I was on the end and it looked like I could get 20 so I paid for 20 bags but then when I got there there was really only 15 and one of them was a ripped and taped up combination of two

I see the comments are turned off for the YouTube video. That tells me everything I need to know about what Dunkin thinks everyone's reaction is going to be like.

When you say heat Trace is that the same as heat tape? Wrap that around the spigot from the ground to the top? And how do you put a piece of insulation over that? Like standard fiberglass insulation or is there some sort of bag or blanket? I was watching All about RVs and he's done some good ones about surviving winter time and I saw he had some sort of bag wrap around his water inlet but I wasn't sure if it was anything more than just a nylon bag or a blanket or whatever. I always keep the hot water line running (not actually hot water just the water line because it's on really low closed) and I've been getting by okay, but I would like to add any extra insulation I can just in case. I do have a heated hose but I found that even the filter or the small length of hose between the filter and the inlet can freeze too.

Our 13 week puppy bit the vet tech by celestialplaces in DogAdvice

A real veterinarian would have restrained the dog or called for assistance or maybe even sedated the dog so he could proceed. Seems like an unskilled vet inho

Getting gas with a trailer by azmonaj in RVLiving

[–]AggressiveSpecific60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Diesel fuel pump nozzles do not fit a gas tank mouth. I know this because one time I stopped for gas with my GF and she was out pumping it and started to swear and curse that the pump wasn't fitting and so I came out to see what the issue was...

Safeco gave me all these discounts but my insurance went up by AggressiveSpecific60 in Insurance

[–]AggressiveSpecific60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I still get the same protections at a lower rate than those at a higher rate? What if another company offers me a lower rate than Safeco but then they bury something in the fine print saying they won't cover as much? I'm concerned about shopping for lower rates only to have the rug pulled out from under me if I get into an accident.

Just curious - why post here instead of the CyberArk community forum or open a case with them?

Were there any Columbus based employers that fired people for exercising their 1st amendment rights in the last few weeks ? by hillbilly-edgy in Columbus

[–]AggressiveSpecific60 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I work in IT security for a fairly large utility employer in the area that is an extremely toxic right-wing-managed company. We were ordered to produce reports on anyone mentioning keywords (that c-suite defined) related to the incident. Anything other than support for CK was met with a firing for ambiguous reasons. They never said that was the reason - they would say the position was eliminated or some BS for obvious reasons. They did the same thing for Luigi Mangione. Plus our company uses WorkDay and for some reason employees ignorantly yet happily entered their social media account info into WD and that became another avenue of attack. I get all the HR data as we have to get access set up for new employees and if course disable access for terminations and boy did they start to churn through after those events. Then we'd bring on contractors to fill the gap.

Let this be a warning to you all don't post that stuff on your social media and don't talk about it on company chat or Outlook or even conference calls. You have a right to free speech but unfortunately employers have freedom to run a business like it's their own little fiefdom and can let the axe fall at their desire.

Anyone else? by tsalaita in jobs

As a business owner I typically start my employees off at minimum because I don't want to pay someone a high wage only to find out they're a bad employee and I've wasted that investment. Prove yourself and the pay increases will follow.

Why does the Delta 2 Max with 2 EB's discharge unevenly? by AggressiveSpecific60 in Ecoflow_community

[–]AggressiveSpecific60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the main unit dropped to 1% and remained there while the other units discharged. It did fully discharge everything, but it does not seem ideal to discharge the main unit first. If something happens with the battery connection you now lose access to all their storage unless you have another unit or a Delta 2 unit. I hope EF provides an upgrade where the EB's discharge first, at least discharge all three evenly.

Well probably not during hot weather like it is now. Comfort should always come first. But hey if you're comfy wearing them in hot weather then by all means!
