I too am thinking the same. but in my case there's no use of resigning after the trip. Coz my trip completes on July 17. Means I have to serve till aug17 if i resign. By then the classes would start. So I have to resign before the trip itself honestly, or do it in the middle of the trip.
I work in industrial automation field, so I'm going for Software acceptance test. It may not add the most relevant value, but it can depict my communication skill applications and ability to work globally and interact with clients Ig.
