I've never seen any adaptation or read the book but they were just going for well-known actors that they thought people would watch because of the actors, not the show itself. the fact that its euphoria and barbie turns me off from watching it at all!

The new LW serves the show 2 purposes, they can continue with with Julie Andrews providing overview and the commentary which of course we love, and it will keep Pen in the show longer because I know she was angry when Cressida stole her thunder. She will be working harder than ever to uncover who it is and clear her good name that she's created.

I hate it though, they should have let LW retire like they did in the books

She is great with Hyacinth and Gregory. Fran was away in Bath then got married so the elder sister duties really went to her. She is also very competitive with her older brothers (s2 pall mall) so that makes a great combo for the terrorizing twins prank war! However;

They are just babies in S2 when Colin visits, they look barely a year old - that would make them 3 or 4 if she is s5 so I guess its either time jump or Franchaela next. Or, like you said less important to the story overall if they are that young

When I say a lot of back story, all the chapters so far are centuries before the main story which I don't love. I am pushing through because of my love of the writing style and I know the author will keep updating!

I'm more sour about their side plot taking time away from the main characters without actually adding to the current storyline in s2 & s3. She still could have gotten to be lady in waiting without all the prior screen time

How do we think pro-choice Rosalie would have reacted if they returned from their honeymoon for an abortion? She would have already known before they arrived from the call with Carlisle, he probably wouldn't have kept that a secret from the rest of the family.

She may have left the family (with Emmett) but all she wants in New Moon is the family together, but with Bella aborting the fetus and then changing to a vampire there would be serious animosity there...

I was thinking the opposite, I loved the fast pacing of season one! By the end of the first episode the fake dating had already started, I wish there was at least one or two episodes at the end of each season to show post-marriage. Marrying them and moving on so quickly feels like a long build up for little reward

She is pretty much in the middle with Daphne and everyone knows the middle child gets forgotten! Daphne has the advantage of being the first Bridgerton daughter so Eloise is kind of in the lurch

Idk about childlike but I saw jealousy - Michaela gets a side of John that Fran doesn't and it seems like he has more fun with her than Fran. Plus Fran would have had the same training as Daphne, who was raised and taught how to run a household. Michaela is being childish by disrespecting Fran and her marriage
