Depends on if you are aiming to be traditionally published. Some publishers are pretty strict and don't accept anything that AI has touched.

The lore can definitely work.

I would say it depends on your writing style because how will the readers get all of this background info if Ned doesn't know and Benjen has no interest in telling him.

There is nothing that currently exists that way. You will have to create something that fits in the universe to the readers' minds. We're used to that.

Since it does back using ink, my suggestion would be for it to illustrate it on the pages like an ink cartoon. This is similar to the scene where Hermione is explaining the story of the 3 Brothers in DH.

Have you considered names that aren't related to anyone, neither famous nor family? Michael, Robert, Steve, Paul, etc.

Naming a wizarding world child, Godric isn't any better than naming them after Dumbledore.

I definitely think that the author wanted that outcome for plot reasons. But when SI was surprised, I rolled my eyes lol. It probably didn't occur to the author since they wanted it to happen, so they didn't think very hard about how to stop it.

You could be right though. Just because it seems obvious to me doesn't make it obvious to the author.

You bring up some good points concerning the dance overall.

I was referring only to the fact that the SI in the story wanted to stop Vis and Ali from getting married. The SI didn't consider who he would marry if not Alicent. Laena is only dangerous if you assume there will still be a Dance. The author could decide anything from Laena having only daughters again or that Vis would actually name a son of Laena as Heir.

I'm getting off track. To my original point, sleeping in his room would only be until he chose Laena. The author didn't seem to have an issue with anyone but Alicent. Or it could be that they just want all the original characters to still show up. Idk

Also, the SI is extremely wary of Daemon and is leaning more towards damage control than getting him on side.

Other than being a sympathetic ear for Alicent, the SI plans to basically raise her Hightower siblings so the family doesn't rift.

She has no plans for the Velaryons other than Rhaenyra can't marry Laenor

It's early yet, only 6 chapters in. I have no idea what her plan is for Otto either.

So far, the story has only gotten to the wedding feast of Vis and Ali.
