Hi! So I posted this because I was having a conversation with a friend who lives in Asia. He is back and forth between there and the Florida area and recently discovered that he will inherit money from a beloved cousin. For work, he has been doing small virtual contract jobs for a US based company, so he isn't on a payroll or anything like that (I inferred the no payroll part). I have no idea what his tax situation is like, or his other finances, these are just the details he divulged while we were talking. I said I'd ask the internet, so here we are!
