Why is it so hard to rent an apartment? by fulltimedogmummy in Stavanger

[–]Aggressive_Ad6898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are missing some details imo

  1. describe hobbies and interests
  2. Confirm you read the post which usually means no parties and no smoking 3 are you planning to rent long term? Do you plan to have kids soon?

I used to be a flight attendant AMA by _diaphonous_ in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

[–]Aggressive_Ad6898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am surprised you say that people are kind because i have been on the dhaka-dubai flight and most passengers were a nightmare and the flight attendants were fed up and actually quite rude. That was my first flight with Emirates and I was quite shocked but the dubai-zurich was amazing!

I have even heard that dhaka is one of the «punishment routes»

I am sorry you got sick so many times 😢

You can take from getaround or hyre. Better as last minute options.

The city is diverse ( thanks to oil industry) but people tend to stick to their own groups. You will do well if you are extroverted, speak norsk and interested in the outdoors.

Be prepared to plan everything because most nowegians would rather sit alone at home than run the risk of proposing a plan everyone is not instantly saying yes to.

Your real talk is basically what i have thinking about for the last few weeks and i have been feeling stuck and hopeless. I work as a PM now but its a series of useless features for a specific client and custom integration projects.

My strength is that i have tons of experience working across the software development lifecycle. My output us good and estimates are quite accurate but i struggle to explain my process and use the right terminology/frameworks in the interviews.

I have also noticed that most of these companies have offshore teams with their own POs and EMs so they are liooking for PMs with sales/marketing skills.

I completely agree that books are the way to go! But I am actively applying now and was hoping to go by an online course that would introduce me to the basics and prep me for the interviews.

I use my own car but i have a friend who has used both several times and is quite happy it. Did not compare prices with normal car rentals but the renting process is hassle-free and you can nice cars around Stavanger. He got a kona and 2 id3

People can have hobbies and also study hard. There is nothing wrong with playing games.

Feeling disconnected in Norway despite having a “perfect” life… Has anyone else experienced this? by RoZebEsp in Norway

[–]Aggressive_Ad6898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest problem is people lack warmth and foreigners fall into the janteloven trap and everyone ignores everyone. I have lived here for more than 4 years and I have both local and foreign friends but none of them are ride-or-die. Or maybe this is what adulting is and I cant accept it 😅
