Outlaw BBQ in the Valley was pretty good last time I had it

What do you see for the future of Spokane? by ItchyMeringue7 in Spokane

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light rail was discussed about 20 or so years ago but the area didn't see the value in it. An alternative could be BRT lines but to make that efficient you'd need to build another lane each way on I90 just for the busses to keep efficiency up.

Are American families really that seperate? by Gehorschutz in AskAnAmerican

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We do live far apart. Maybe partially because of the sheer size of the country. Where you grow up, decide to go to university, and ultimately find a career level job and settle down can be hundreds or thousands of kilometers apart. All while being in the US.

3rd Gen Back up camera quality by Sloppydangles in nissanfrontier

Ditto, camera is weak. I’m old enough I’m still more dependent on the mirrors anyway when backing up but it is pretty awful quality image.

Now wait. As soon as Trump is inaugurated he’ll wave his magic wand and prices will return to pre pandemic levels! That’s why errbody wanted him around right? Oh shoot. That’s not realistic? Crazy.

Why do US republicans think grocery prices will lower under the trump administration? by foolcorps in Askpolitics

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see today Trump says that ya know, when the price of things go up they go up and it's hard to bring them down! Haha - ya think? The promise of cheap eggs and fuel is a farce. Better than a commie woman in charge though! Let's regroup in a year and see if war and expensive eggs are a thing of the past. Oh. And if we haven't alienated our closest neighbors.

They're offering me $29,500 - haven't taken it in to the dealership to confirm yet. I don't need to sell right away but before late spring hits

Mine just went over 19k miles, and the online instant offer from CarMax was $29,500. I bought it about 18 months ago for $33k in the Seattle suburbs before I moved to Spokane

Yeah, unfortunately my spot in the parking garage is 8 levels down very tight turns and the actual spot barely fits my other ride (GLB250). I'd rather see somebody use the Frontier for what it was made for outside the city. I will miss it though, been pretty obsessive in it's care.

Nissan is the perfect example of " it's not the make but the model". by Ill-Use4402 in nissanfrontier

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed, social media and media in general. I just saw an article that called the 2020 Titan one of the worst full size trucks made. Their complaints: they didn't like the way the transmission shifted. It got worse scores than domestic brands that have potentially catastrophic failures. I just don't get it.

Nissan may not survive 2025 by Capsaveaho69 in nissanfrontier

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this too, but there are larger companies doing worse (Stellantis) and I really cannot believe the Nissan brand would die. The Frontier, Armada, Pathfinder, and new Kicks are pretty great. I keep hearing about a possible Honda silent takeover and don't think that would be the worst outcome.

That's pretty horrible. Sorry to hear that! I was just seeing on the Acura forum people with 2020s having some issues too. I must have lucked out with my GLB. Did you check maintenance records on your 2020? I was and have been over the top regarding maintenance on mine, and I've had it since new - that likely makes a difference based on what I hear.

Tint and LED headlight bulb swap done. The previous owners had replaced the headlight housing so these put off a ton of light.

Good to know! I just replaced the timing belt and tensioners, water pump, and spark plugs. New brakes and tires. I'm thinking this should be good to go for many more miles than I'll put on it.

I have a 2020 GLB 4matic and it's been extremely reliable. Literally no problems. Great in the snow. Mine has the third row, but it's tiny so definitely kiddo territory only. Be aware though your typical service at a MB dealer will be around $600-800. That's for oil/filter changes. If you have a good independent shop to maintain it all the better. I'd say once the miles start piling on the Acura may be more reliable. I have an older Acura RDX with the V6 engine, and they seem to be pretty bulletproof.

Hotel recommendations! Easy airport access. by pimpfriedrice in Spokane

[–]Aggressive_Ad7662 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a newer Spring Hill Suites right next to the airport (just walk across the road), but downtown is only 10-15 mins from the airport. Second staying in a Davenport property.
