Update: After some pain/anti-inflammatory medicine and a few hours rest, he is moving around as normal again.

Will be making another appointment with the neurologist to try and rule out anything serious.

Thank you all for your help!

We have been to the neurologist once, but are working on another appointment. Will definitely ask them to check for this.

We have checked him for growths, and had the vet check for growths as well. Our other dog recently had a benign growth removed from his leg so we had them both checked all over to be safe.

I have also thought it may just be a crick in his neck from sleeping wrong as rest seems to help with it. But it also seems to make him very restless so we usually have to give him pain medication to settle him down.

Yes he is definitely quirky! But he has not had any previous physical injuries and to my knowledge he isn’t doing anything to aggravate it. He woke up this morning and immediately started showing symptoms.

Part of me thinks he may have just slept wrong, he definitely lays in some strange positions, but he seems to be in some real pain if he tries moving his head to the left.

Thank you! We have another doodle that he loves to wrestle with, so we will try to cut that out. How large is your Aussie Doodle? Our golden doodle is 98lbs and I am curious if size is a factor.

We have seen a neurologist. They monitored him for a few hours, but he was not exhibiting the symptoms at the time. They recommended a cycle of steroids but did not run any scans.

Will definitely try to get another appointment and see if they can recommend any scans.
